I would have loved to have him on the 4th line. Hands of stone but as long as expectations aren't too high he's a quality player.

I wouldn't mind him as third line with Hansen and Higgins. Be a good line I think.

He refuses to go to the middle of the ice unless nobody else is there.

I really never did think Gillis would move schneider, I did say it was a better option if a buyout wasn't an option but I honestly did not see that coming.

If 1 is a stud and the other is a role player i'll be very pleased. You'll be upset if one is Parise and the other is Bernier?

I just want one to be a stud. If we get 2 NHL quality players out of them thats a huge bonus. Guys are talking on here like both will be top 6 fwds and studs. Ill be ecstatic if we get one top 6 guy out of this draft and 2 or 3 role players. That to me is a HUGE success.

I just want one to be a stud. If we get 2 NHL quality players out of them thats a huge bonus. Guys are talking on here like both will be top 6 fwds and studs. Ill be ecstatic if we get one top 6 guy out of this draft and 2 or 3 role players. That to me is a HUGE success.

Dude, It's HB. Everyone thinks their prospects are the greatest and nobody should lose a roster player for anything less than a 1st +. Even the blogger thought Schneider was worth the 1st overall pick.

Its all about expectations. Look at Schroeder. If people think he is a franchise top 6 player then in my opinion its a bust. If all you want out of a late 1st round pick is 3rd line center and some good minutes then Schroeder is a great pick and will fill that role perfectly.

Remember, the NHL is probably going to raise the cap significantly next year with all the outdoor games that will end up selling out at 40000+ for double the normal NHL ticket prices. I think an 80 mil cap next summer isn't out of the question.

what? Keep in mind with the 50/50 revenues the cap this past season should have been like 57 mil. Couple that with every cent from the compliance buyouts counts against the players share. I don't expect the cap to go up much if any next yr
