I am looking forward to seeing if any of these prospects will ever make the big team though, seems that I've been hearing names like Klefbom, Marincin, Gernat, Fedun for a long time and none of them have ever played a game for the Oil. Where does Nurse fit in on the depth chart for D prospects?

Bring in a Cullen, a Cleary, a Gordon or Lapierre and all of a sudden you're more difficult to play against.

Like the Leafs, D from your offense should be high on the list of priorities for you guys...

3RW- Greening
4LW-Armstrong
4C-Lappierre (this guys a total fag, but he might help)
6D-Scott Hannan, Wade Redden
2G- Dont care.

i'd say prob next to klefbom or even marincin.

Well, Fedun broke a Femur, and was a longshot to begin with, Marincin just finished his 1st year as a pro, so he's right on schedule, Gernat and Musil just finished their 18/19 year old seasons in Junior and Klefbom was injured for most of last year in Sweden. I expect at least 2 of those guys to play in the NHL regularly before Nurse.

I don't think we need any more bottom pair Dmen. 1 top pairing guy would make a huge difference and allow everyone to play a more comfortable role.

Horvat, Shinkaruk, Jensen, Gaunce... not a bad group of forward prospects. Kassian could still work out.

Kassian was (frank)ing awesome last year anytime he was given top6 minutes. Every now and then he'd mix up a defensive assignment and BOOM 4th line LW of all places. I have a lot of hope that Torts and Sullivan can work with him the same way they worked with Stepan and Callahan to bring it every night.

Vig was awful with young offensive players. So is Arniel.

Hell, since the only winger that doesn't become invisible with Kes I'd run Twins-Kass and Burr-Kesler-Booth.

Schroeder is still young and when he actually got some good offensive minutes he didn't do too poorly. Mason Raymond and Jannik Hansen bungled so many nice passes.

Corrado, Tanev, Rodin, Lack, Anthony, mixed in with what has seemed like two actually pretty good drafts and there will be enough coming through the pipes to keep things stocked but not exactly overflowing.

AV was awful with young players.

Hansen is money, my favorite Canuck last year... After Lou.

His handling of his goalie situation was horrible...but I think he'll actually look good on the Schneider trade in the end. Overhyped goalies rarely meet the expectations.

Thats the saving grace. And considering that most other goalies get moved for junk, a 9th overall is pretty nice.

Plus I am in love with the Shinkaruk pick. I went to like 2 or 3 Hats games this year when they rolled into town and I loved the way he managed to find a bit of extra space to work with. Much similar to the way Ebs always makes the smallest adjustment to give him a bit more time/space.

And hell, Luongo is still a terrific goaltender. Anyone who speaks to the contrary is a (frank)ing idiot. (frank) you, idiot.
