I heard the oil didn't want to give up 2nd and Pitlick..... talk about being greedy Mac T - Killbot460
No you didn't. That was the "fair deal" floated around by bloggers and posters. You have no idea what the final offers were from either club. |

Staufer on his radio show the day before. He said the oil didn't want to add a 2nd - Killbot460
I'm starting to wonder about him.

An organization that is devoid of a big top 6 power-forward passes on one to add to D-depth...interesting... |

Cant be. Its divided into paragraphs. - TheTaoOfSemenko
Hilarious. Makes a comment that the Oilers D is better than Bostons, takes a public stoning and returns with an alt account. Nice. At least with the new moniker he has toned it down a bit. |

Taking a guy who's already stated NHL or KHL, no to AHL is safer?
We shouldn't have been going into the draft hoping for anyone to make this team next year. - Lahey
I agree with the pick, I think you know what I mean. Dmen are almost always more of a gamble but in this case we choose from 3 good dmen and passed on a guy ranked as high as 3 by some scouts. Val would be better left in the KHL next year than brought over. I love the game Nurse has in the minors. He is what we need but the pick was a gamble. We won't know for a couple years how good he actually is. I would feel better if we got anyone else in the draft of value.
I really think we missed out on picking Lipon. He is amazing and went 60th I think. But I think we messed up everything after Nurse. |

This was hardly a good example of sentence structure. Is it a lower mianland thing? - TheTaoOfSemenko
Just trying to help Cloutier with his English. He is a talented writer if you can ignore his regional problems. |

Power foward...pffft...so in other words we want another top 6 forward that will (eventually) cost us between 5 and 6M per year? How about just a big body that can skate, clean up the garbage, make room and not be a tard defensively? 40pts a year would be fine if he makes room for the other 2 guys on line and they get a PPG each. Better investment, lower cap hit and easier to obtain. |

Generally speaking that's how the draft goes.

So would I. Nino is a very good prospect. If Minny likes him, which they probably do then they'll think they got a steal. |

I have no problem adding a power forward, we still need one. But it's not like we had a Nurse in the NHL roster or in the prospect pool |

Who says Minni "wanted" Pitlick and a 2nd"? I read it on ON as a possible offer, but in no way did I hear that Minni wanted it. |

I have a hard on for clifford.... If Edm were trading PRV i want a little bit of a better player comeing back. Clifford may not be better that Clutterbuck, but he has a higher ceiling.
I hope PRV has more Value than Nino |

He just didn't get along with the staff or something, now he might actually get a chance to play with some top players. |

I think we have enough goals, just need the physical prescence. We don't need John LeClair. just Mikhail Renberg. |

He was pissed that he was brought in so early, then banished to the AHL. |

Clifford...that guy can't score. At all. You might be a bit starstruck by his SC ring. He is one of those guys that fits in on a very good team with a very good system. |

IMO he would fit in good on the 3rd line or even getting time with Nuge/Ebs

Yes! Add Kris Versteeg to the list as well, or maybe Brian Boyle after the Rangers run to the ECC, or Fernando Pisani...the list is endless. How many guys left Detroit to go on to nothing careers when they were not surrounded by players they merely compliment? |
