Fair enough. Finding the guy would cost quite a bit unless they want to take on Campbells contract. If the D doesn't improve from what is there right now, we will be looking at another high draft pick next year.

I think the D is already improved. Petry and Schultz are sure to be better from experience, and Belov is almost garaunteed to be better than Sh!tney. I wouldnt mind seeing Marincin get a fair shot this year either.

1) There is currently room for a lot of teams to do a lot of things, doesn't mean it makes sense past a year

2) Just like Erik Cole. Marvellous he was on his off wing. Most guys are only good on one side. Its why they play that side.

If Horton is gonna play LW, go for it. I think 5- 5.25 would be a cofortable salary but it would likely have to be more, and 4-5 years. As for the Nucks taking Horvat, he's one of my favourites in the whole draft class. He's a great player and Canucks fans should be ecstatic to have him.

I don't think you make that gamble for a guy who has spent like every day since playing in the OHL playing on the right side. It'd be like the Canucks moving Danny to RW.

I can see it working if he wasn't a LH shot moving left but he's a righty.

I 100% agree with you, I was dissapointed with almost every pick they selected today. They traded down and missed out on Tristan Jarry who THEY NEEDED and then didn't even pick a crap goalie. I am no longer a fan of MacT, and I can honestly say that I gave him a good chance. What a joke, not one player worth mentioning. I can deal with Nurse cause he has promise but they need to get rid of Lowe and MacTavish before this team does anything, sick of the Ol' Boys club crap this team has been doing for the last decade.

Yes. I wish he crossed more instead of hugging the wall. When he attacks from the left side he just rifles it at the goalies chest, or over the net and it rips around into the neutral zone. The more he moves to the middle to attack he creates far more space and opportunities.

However, when he attacks as a RW, at least last year, he ended up just (frank)ing his own ass. The middle 50% of the ice is where he needs to attack from.

I'm softening on the stance a bit because decision making and ability to read the defence took leaps and bounds last year, especially around the end of February and into the stretch drive. He seemed to realize that if he mixed up his zone entries he could get far more room for himself.
