Seriously though, Santini? I'm sure he's a fine player and all but seriously...?
Passing on Anthony Duclair in the 3rd round is a move they will regret. What the (frank) are we going to do with all of these defenders, Lou understands that only 6 can play per game, right? Maybe his idea is to swap out a different 6 every game. - TheJerseyDevil1

I wonder how they're going to split the starts for Brodeur and Schneider. 41-41 sounds completely fine by me, gives Cory a lot more work than he's used to and prepares him for Marty's departure. It also gives Marty plenty of rest days and we don't have to be fearful of the result for once when he's not starting or any possible injuries hindering him.
Hedberg is clearly gone. That should leave us, around what 17mill or so in cap space? Pretty obvious Clarkson's gone now as if it wasn't before. We're likely resigning Harrold for real cheap. Probably takes us to 15+ to get 2 forward slots filled. Re-sign Elias for 4.5-5, lock up Henrique, and grab a nice winger out there, like Horton perhaps.
Next off-season definitely sounds like the busy one for us. 2 buy-outs to use, and lot's of contracts off the books. Maybe, just maybe, Kovy can chat it up with a certain other Russian at the Olympics. |

Always worth it to pick a goalie late if you think he has the slightest potential. Got no problem even if it does look like the biggest puff pick. |

A pretty successful day I guess. It still hasn't really sunk in that we got Schneider. As soon as Buffalo made their first pick I was just ecstatic we were getting Nichushkin, and then suddenly, bam.

How will the drafting of marty's kid go over in NJ?
Classy move or corny publicity stunt? |

I didn't particularly want it. Felt it may set a pedestal so high for the kid it would stunt his growth. At the same time, maybe it keeps Marty around after his retirement to be a goalie coach/mentor as I'm sure he would go to do that wherever Anthony were to go. |
