I'm loving this pick. He played with MacKinnon at Shattuck's and out scored him 170 to 101.

Quine was drafted in the 3rd round 2 years ago by a team well known for its scouting. Interesting pick.

I'll take a shot at Thomas for a year. I though he signed with the Jackets or was real close?

You know what's sad.. there wouldn't be a riot.. you would still have ALOT of fans pulling for him to make it this time... this time its different.... he's had all this time to rehab... he has been injury free for almost 2 years... he played well in BP... he's a fighter.. he's all heart & soul... Yes there would be those fans like us that would be pissed & boo.... but there wouldn't be a riot... there wouldn't be any backlash... worst that would happen is less fans at the games & to be honest as long as they are in Nassau... I think that would make Wang smile.

less fans at the games.. less money to Nassau

In the AHL in 18 GP, he has a 2.93 GAA and an .893 S%. That's not playing well for a man playing with kids

I don't think he's ever outscored anyone.

Only on a Wang budget would he have the fans themselves demo the coliseum.

the unions would put a stop it...but the thought of it is great.

DiPietro isn't starting here. He CANNOT play anymore, which is abundantly clear to anyone who watches him play. There is NO way that Poulin and Nilsson could possibly be worse than him at the NHL level. No way.

When has that stopped Wang and Garth before? Rolston, Pandolfo, and Reasoner to name a few.

I dont know why but I think Snow did a great job today. I have been ripping him but he has came through. Clutterbuck great pick up. As stated before by me Nino was not going to play here I always knew that.

Now all we need I fell is still a top winger. A defenseman and a goalie, but I think he will take that real soon

There's a difference between signing a guy to SEE if he has anything left in the tank, and knowing d*mned well that your OWN player is already cr*p. If that was the case, they wouldn't have sent him down last year.

Sounds like a good forward to start in BRI, especially with departure of Ullstrom and maybe Nelson or Strome.

It's hard to not jump off the ledge. We do it every year. I guess we are in store for more stupidity? Well it was nice to think for a short while we may make some sound decisions... I stayed positive for a bit, the funny thing is I care less than before. That's the secret. Have faith and get disappointed knowing in the back of your head that it was inevitable. We can all survive as Islander fans.

True but they kept playing those three even when they had nothing. I'm still in shock DP was sent down last year. Still feels like a dream.

Just like drafting all dmen, I find it hard to believe these two goalies were the best players available. That is all I ask. I'm still very positive about the future. Still concerned about the present though.
