Thank God. Well now that the Isles have 100 goalies in the system, can we buy out DP now?

Cant really buy out your potential starter.

Could you imagine this place if Snow traded three 1st round picks for two guys in their mid to late 30s?

Not that I give a poop about the NBA but if the Nets don't win a championship within 2 years they got completely hosed.

Viktor Crus-Rydberg.....

Very interesting. Was considered amognst the best Swedes in this draft not too long ago. Playing in league and styles of play not best suited for him. This kid could be a steal.

- potvin05

Adam French's take - (had him going 59th overall)
Centre Victor Crus Rydberg of Linköping J20 in the SuperElit.

He’s kind of hard to describe in my opinion, because he’s one of those “toolsy” players that seems to work hard, plays the right way and shows flashes of brilliance, yet doesn’t seem to produce. He’s a bit on the small side at 5’11 and the real knock on him is that he won’t even throw a love tap when he has a chance. He’s shown strong face-off abilities and was the second best FO man in the U18’s. He has all the tools to be a surprise second line centre, if he can figure it out. He was one of the top players in the SuperElit and was probably the third best draft eligible player coming out of there this draft. The Jets seriously need scoring centres…especially when Olli Jokinen’s broken down corpse is in your top-6.

Can we package them all for an actual NHL goalie?
- mighty13duck

Or wrap them up together in Garth's old pads - 3 goalies in ONE. They'll always have left, right & center covered.

I know you're not serious, but there would be a riot in the Coliseum if he is even on the roster Opening Night and Wang and Snow both know it.

He will show up to work, he hasn't sat out, he hasn't refused to report to the team.

he hasn't refused to do anything team related.

Im no Lou fan, but the team cr@ped the bed with this whole situation, this is the teams fault not Lou's

Only on a Wang budget would he have the fans themselves demo the coliseum.

DiPietro isn't starting here. He CANNOT play anymore, which is abundantly clear to anyone who watches him play. There is NO way that Poulin and Nilsson could possibly be worse than him at the NHL level. No way.

You know what's sad.. there wouldn't be a riot.. you would still have ALOT of fans pulling for him to make it this time... this time its different.... he's had all this time to rehab... he has been injury free for almost 2 years... he played well in BP... he's a fighter.. he's all heart & soul... Yes there would be those fans like us that would be pissed & boo.... but there wouldn't be a riot... there wouldn't be any backlash... worst that would happen is less fans at the games & to be honest as long as they are in Nassau... I think that would make Wang smile.

less fans at the games.. less money to Nassau

This is an odd pick. Detroit had until June 1st to sign him but he didn't. Seems like a "b" type prospect, already 20 and he sounds a lot like our last pick except older. He can score though.

Biron is garbage. I rather have Nabby.
- mighty13duck

Agreed- I'd probably rather have Emery than any of those on the list, although he might be another PITA. Bryz definitely is, so no thanks.

Because as long as he is under contract to this team, he is an option

I think plan A went to New Jersey
- PeteM

What about a short term fix.....Trade for Brodeur. Wait. I know. Let "That's Crazy" fade in your head.

ONLY if it's for future picks and/or NONE of the guys near ready to make the jump. defensemen or goalie. Cap space could be an issue in free agency if they add anyone to the roster - Devils have $2.1Mil currently with Schneider added. Devils are in financial woes from an organizational standpoint, as well. Every million is important right now.

AND Brodeur will not enjoying playing second fiddle to ANYONE. He likes the heavier workload and he wouldn't have to move the families for one year.(yes families - we never bust him on that)
