Thats actually funny. Did you see the isles take the pens to 6 games? The Rags beat the Capitals, who looked terrible in 7 and the only reason they won was because of Hank.

well that's just silly. we have one of the top 3 defenses in the league, with the best goalie in the world, and you guys have one of the worst 3 defenses in the league, with no goalie. our offense is arguably a lot deeper and more experienced too.

isles are creeping up but let's not go overboard.

The Rangers are just cursed. You can take the best player in the league, trade him to Broadway and he'll falter. Richards fall from grace was unprecedented last season. And I can't believe Nash has ever been less noticeable than he was in the post season. If not for the Rangers young guns, they wouldn't have even got by the Caps.

Rangers have the better team. On paper, and on the ice. I firmly believe 84% of the issues with Ny was that blow hard ass hat, that is now coaching Vancouver. I could see NY taking the conference next season, if Richards can return to form and Nash continues to dominate.

Offense is the least important facet of the game in the post season. Ask the Pens. Defense, goaltending, and transition trump offensive fire power. I think offense can get you through a round, or two, but in the end, goals are hard to come by.

Make whatever excuses you want, but bottom line is it was a 1 point difference. The isles had 16 players that never played a playoffs game. I'm not trying to make excuses, but experience definitley helps. Lets see about next year, but based on this past season, you cannot say the Rags are miles ahead of the Isles.
