I think Gillis should take a nice long vacation before heading back to Vancouver.

I think Nonis has done a decent job so far this off season bringing in Bernier and Bolland, a pair of recent Cup winners. Not too familiar with the guys we picked, they probably all need years of development anyway.

My biggest concern is so far we haven't addressed our biggest areas of need for next year. Namely a top four dman and a number one centre. Obviously there is still lots of time but if he can't get it done we're going to be in a tough spot.

Hopefully through FA as trading for them seems to cost quite a bit.

What if Bolland switched to wing? He could be a decent third line winger if MacArthur is leaving. His faceoff % has been consistently below 50%.

He kind of seems like Colby Armstrong 2.0 the more I think about it. 3+ million contract to play third line, chips in 20-30 points, good for a few good hits and a lot of heart.

What a bunch of bs. I wonder how many concussions Johnny Bower got playing against the likes of JFJ senior and his ilk playing for three grand a year. I play real hockey too so I don't have to worry about watching.

Wait just remembered, the CHL import draft starts July 3rd. So if Nonis expects him to switch to NA he'll likely be targeted by teams then...probably the Q...they love the Swiss.

Its not an upgrade for Bozak, its about getting good people for specific roles. Now if we do not sign bozie we have Kadri and Grabo as offensive centres (much better than Grabo as a shutdown guy), and Bolland and MacLement as shutdown guys. Our bottom six is now harder to play against

He's not supposed to be a direct Bozak upgrade. He's an upgrade over Grabovski as a 3rd line shutdown center with Grabo and Kadri just moving up a line with Bozak losing his spot lol.

Zero choice if we stick with what we have. Grabo and Kessel are like oil and water - they have zero chemistry from the little I've seen them play...Kadri will have to be #1... Don't think he is ready but time will tell.
