Bettman may be a wiener, but he owns it. He can be pretty humorous at the podium. - BetterCallSaul
He's not though. He doesn't own anything. He's like some little twerp who can always get the last word in because he's literally the last person to speak. You need to be witty to own this poop, and Shakes McShakit ain't. |

It just means too much for Bernier. - aminnes
The 2 are not connected. Too much for Bernier and too little for Schneider have nothing to do with each other. |

Whatever the cost, Schneider should thank his lucky stars that he is out of that nuthouse. |

Yea because Frattin Scrivens and a 2nd is worth a 9th overall....what a bogus thing to say. - ThePresident
Not what I'm saying. Bernier isn't near Schneider, at least not right now, so based on what it took to get him, too much was paid to get Bernier, as of now, a lesser goalie. |

Grabos lack of production, along with the minimal impact on the Leafs overall offense makes him redundant. - aminnes

Trade him. I wonder if Nonis is still going to try and get a solid 1C through a trade if Vinny chooses to go somewhere else! |

Frattin and Scrivens suck, Bernier has the potential to be an allstar goaltender. |

It's just that Gillis was fleeced by Lou. That's all. Nuck fans would agreed too. I'm sure they expected more of a return. |

It just seems like Nonis is spending his assets on additions we don't exactly need. He should be focusing on acquiring a 2nd line RW,a top pairing Dman, and a new center for our top line, instead he brought in a goaltender, and a 3rd line centerman...confusing to say the least |

Agreed. Scrivens was never going to take the #1 job in TO. Frattin is inconsistent. Seems like a fair price. Scrivens is a wash since he'll never be nothing more than Quick's backup b*tch. So really it's Bernier for Frattin. I'd give the Leafs the nod. |

Seguin was just in the right place at the right time, but as far as player wise goes, Kessel is better. |

Anyone who thinks the Leafs overpaid is overvaluing the guys we sent to LA. That being said, no way does Frattin suck. Is he replaceable? Absolutely. Doesn't mean he's not a good player. On the other hand Scrivens is absolute crap.

I don't think a #9 pick is too bad. Goalies do not have a lot of value. Most teams have their #1 goalie. The issue is more that Vancouver is an aging team in "Win Now" mode and that #9 pick does notging to make them better next season, and losing Schneider makes them worse.
And Bernier was had for less than most thought BTW. Most in the media thought he'd fetch a first rounder. |

you guys are missing the point. I talking about the goalie market. I'm not suggesting Scrivens is an all star, or any of that I'm saying based on what I saw today, Nonis overpaid in the current market, if this isn't Lewieke's trade anyway. |

The assets he needs are extremely difficult to acquire without gutting the team and its prospects. |
