Right, I didn't mean the Leafs getting Bolland doesn't mean they no longer need a 1C....I was getting more to the point that if Leafs do still pursue Vinny for 1C that pushes Kadri to 2C. With Bolland at 3C what happens to Grabovski?

For some reason, I don't see the Leafs buying out Grabo and who would ever take his contract in a trade?! To me it just has the feel of Leafs being resigned to going into next season with Kadri/Grabo/Bolland.

We also have a couple vacated wing spots. I think grabo would be a good 3rd line winger.
But I like the Kadri/Grabo/Boland thing better.

he scored 50 goals and 100 points... they can be compared IMO

YOu can go and (frank) your mother if you think he can be compared to Sundin. Do it from behind, she doesn't like to see who's doing it.

Chiarelli on Seguin:

He needs to be more of a pro.

dude he really is the best replacement for Sundin. They can be compared, they are comparable. I am not saying he is on par, but he's definitely good enough to be be worthy of comparing

and plus after sticking it up yours its just cruel to pass on whatever you have to others.

So if I'm not mistaken our 3rd round pick is Niagara's 2nd line centre? You could have a real gem there hidden behind Strome.

Interesting that Schneider took just a first to get done, outside the top five...

No one was paying Gillis his asking price, he was (frank)ed and every other GM knew it.

Sorry, but this is just plain wrong...
There is no way you could compare Lecavalier to Sundin. Sundin is one of the greats, Lecavalier is not even close to that stature. The only thing they have in common, really, is their height, position and draft slot (# 1 overall).

I think that's what he meant. It has to be. A stupid bumhole like him can't think that the 2 are on the same level.

Sounds like the Oiler offer was quite a bit more than what NJ got him for. TSN reported that the Oilers were 'shocked' by the deal.

Wait, wait, wait. This is supposed to be a hockey blog and twice in one paragraph you call the 2013 NHL Stanley Cup champions the "Black Hawks"? WTF? Not good for your credibility my friend. Stick to the Mapleleaves.

Its curious, I'de say we paid more than that for Bernier. Not trying to cause an argument but looking at the market...

Didn't want him playing against them, If he turns out amazing, Gillis would look even worse.

As for a late-round pick, Andreas Johnson led all draft-eligible players in the top U20 league in Sweden. He's not a very big player, but he's chippy enough to have earned himself more than one penalty minute per game over his last two seasons. Most lists have him available in the sixth or even seventh round.
