Bolland is a good player... don't get me wrong.

It was a good trade... I just think they need to upgrade the top line.

Yeah we know..... not exactly the easiest position to fix.

He didn't work out in TO, but he was still the best player involved in the deal. Had a stellar season after he left, too.

Stalberg was benched for a good chunk of the playoff run.

- Leeman4Gilmour

That's why I question the Versteeg trade as "good" for the Leafs. Just seemed like a personality that was bad in the dressing room, which saw him quickly moved from Philly.

Anyways, it's all history now. Just hoping the Bolland move works out better than our previous trade with the Hawks after they won the cup.

im sure nonis is aware of that
- Sammich

I saw of quote from Nonis that he will get an expanded role, not be pigeon-holed as a 3rd liner. Don't shoot the messenger.

Grabo's gotta be on the way out for sure, I see the Leafs signing one of either Lecavalier or Weiss in free agency, preferably Lecavalier, Grabovski just doesn't fit on this team anymore.

I respectfully disagree. I will only concede the tougher to play against point, and only slightly.

Bozak has him beat in nearly every attribute, except for "winning". Imo

- Leafland

So scoring .56pts/game with 1st line mins and and PP mins is better than .51pts/game with 3rd line mins is better?? Ok.

I'll take the 3rd liner who scores as a 3rd liner VS the de-facto 1st liner that scores as a 3rd liner.

Agreed. It's not just that Grabo sucked ass last year; it's that he does not fit.

Kadri is the flashy, offensive guy.

Bolland is the shutdown man.

A free agent slots between JVR and Kessel. Hell, if nothing else, you put Bozak there again. It works.

I wish Grabo the best, but he's got no future here after the emergence of Kadri.

Exactly Leaf fans need to get educated..... He is perfect for Carlyle and the third line.... Grabo, Bozak and Kadri did not make sense.... Grabo was not great in the checking line role...... Hopefully if we cannot get rid of him for a true #1 he gets to be a 55-60 point player with stronger wingers than he had in the past and a plus player......

Carter Verhague, LC, 6"2, 185lbs, Niagara IceDogs, OHL

Verhague is an intriguing forward that has been buried on a deep IceDogs team. He should have a chance to step up next season and do well. He's got a lot of play making talent and could make an impression in a few years. He'll be project but could turn into something good for a team that is willing to wait.

Grabo should be bought out in my opinion. That cap hit is a headache waiting to happen.

So who are first two line centers right now?
Why can't Kadri man 1 and Grabo 2?

I know what you mean that grabo just doesn't really fit, but nobody can call Grabo as good as gone yet.
