Nonis says he would be okay entering season with Leafs current centres. He is also trying to make another deal to free up salary space.

I know i know, everyone hates Bozak around here, hes an easy target. Bolland is just giving me an Armstrong vibe, he has had 2 full seasons out of 7, isn't a hitter, doesn't score, or win faceoffs.
Sorry to break up the circlejerk but id take Bozak as the third liner just about every day of the week. - Leafland
They both suck, but I'd prefer Bolland over Bozak as a 3rd line center. |

In my opinion, we overpaid for Bolland, realistically he should only be worth a 3rd rounder. |

How so? I don't think Burke got the player he thought he was getting. Either that or Versteeg just couldn't work under Wilson. - magmoo
He didn't work out in TO, but he was still the best player involved in the deal. Had a stellar season after he left, too.
Stalberg was benched for a good chunk of the playoff run. |

no.
Bozak has put up career .56 pts playing 1st line with kessel and lupul and JVR... Bolland career .51pts playing 3rd line with Marcus Kruger.
Bolland is tougher to play against, better defensively and basically comparable as a 3rd liner vs 1st liner offensively.
Bozak wins faceoffs. The end. |

Why this is a debate is beyond me.
They are two players that should be in the same area of a contending teams depth chart with entirely different styles of play.
Just leave it alone. |

4th rounders are essentially worthless. A late 2nd isn't much different than a 3rd.
Odds are very good none of those picks turns into anything, let alone a decent center with a history of winning and playing great hockey in the playoffs. |

Bolland is a good player... don't get me wrong.
It was a good trade... I just think they need to upgrade the top line.

I respectfully disagree. I will only concede the tougher to play against point, and only slightly.
Bozak has him beat in nearly every attribute, except for "winning". Imo |
