my sources tell me that most scouts saw Morin improve like crazy this year.. and that's what they look for. Scouts saw Pulock stay pretty much the same and not improve his game much
- Crimsoninja

Pronger saw him as a guy with very good extinct and an ability to move the puck out of his zone quickly and efficiently. I think he's undervalued because he doesn't wow you with anything.

Thus begins a long, long journey of people spelling his name wrong

Morin is a B pick for me. If he reaches his potential he's actually a #2 or #3 dman. He's said to be a bigger carbon copy of Luke Schenn.

Sorry. I'll make sure to spell it correctly from now on. Really like the Lidstrom pick.

so who do we want at #132?

I hope it's someone we can all complain about.

If we are out of the playoffs this year, I look to replace Homer and Lavi. No hate for Homer, but the lustre is wearing off.
- Hextall271

homer is supported by an army of scouts. these picks aren't entirely on him. not saying i disagree with you, though.

what's your read on why the flyers would pick morin at 11, when the other guys like pulock, who were projected in that slot, went immediately after to the isles, etc.

hagg seems like a good choice.

flyers always seem to just throw away picks in the later rounds.

- hammarby31

I think they liked his natural abilities and his size.

He's a hard worker, skates well for such a big dude and he's tough. They probably feel he has decent offensive upside, as well. He was not a massive reach(TSN had him at 17) but he's probably more of a project than Pulock or Zadorov.

I think they feel he could be a Tyler Myers type guy.

The blame for this draft falls squarely on the broad sexy shoulders of Chris Pronger.
And it is all Matt Carle's fault.

This is a solid option for welcoming our first round picks in camps with blindsided head shots. Rinaldo has graduated
