What if it's Luc Robitaille?

No. Every pick needs to be dissected and broken down independently.

Bill seems perplexed by this pick, I don't know anything and can't comment.
- Marc D

He almost certainly would've been there in the 5th, but why not trade down and try and get a few extra picks if you're going to take a reach? He wasn't going in the 3rd that's for sure. Sometimes Homer makes no sense.

I think it'd be more like
Shenn - Gustafsson
Haag - Morin
Alt - Ghost

Which I like.

- JAKEw1234

I was more just thinking the players, wasn't sure on the pairs. But I'd think Haag has top-pair potential, and I'd put him with a less physical guy like Gus. Morin, same thing with Ghost. Try to pair a physical guy with a smaller guy (although I guess Haag has complete package potential).

The Flyers 3rd pick is terrible.

If they dont pick him there, no one else would've drafted him.

Hagg was a very good value at 41. Morin is a good prospect, but he's a bit of a project and there were more highly regarded, or at least "safer" picks there.

The Goulbourne pick is just a waste of a pick. Definitely could have gotten him later. Would have loved to grab Jimmy Lodge at that point of the draft.

Im sure he wouldn't gotten drafted, in the 6th, 7th hell maybe even 5th if they liked him enough.

I really see him as a fringe defenseman at best. Not a shot at him, and I hope I'm wrong. I just don't see him being a full-time NHL defender.

So far most people seem underwhelmed by the picks made by the team..

Who knows, maybe there will be a late trade.

Morin is a C pick to me. He seems like a top-6 player, but maybe on a bottom pair. Definitely lots of room to move up. Not as polished (or as right-handed) as Pulock.

Haag is an A+ pick at 41. Definitely their steal of this year.

The 3rd round pick is an F-.

So far, as C to C+ draft overall. They got lucky Haag was still there.

So far, the day has been disapponting. Who knows how these picks will pan out, but there was so much speculation about player movement, etc. I guess I should learn to "not believe the hype". Well, I fell for it again this year.

The 3rd rd pick makes no sense. If they were afraid he wouldn't be there in the 5th trade you pick down 10 or so slots and get a 3rd 4th and 6th like Edmonton has been doing. Just not a good move. Hinke did it with Kasemi,. He knew he wanted him, but also knew it was a reach. He got 2 extra picks out of it for next year.
