I think they go Goalie next.

That was in reference to the common media theme

I was sarcastic about the "destroy" part. My thoughts on Morin are to trust the brass and wait and see
- eayost

Ah. Well there are quite a few people who are acting like it's the end of the world because they took Morin at 11. I like the pick.

Drafting for the future well down the road. Morin and Hagg won't be on the Flyers for at least 3 years. But they may have a good 2nd pairing in 4-5 years.

they play season after next 2014-20-5

I think we'll be very happy with a Morin-Hagg pair for a long, long time.
- JAKEw1234

I agree. Flyers have set themselves up nicely on defense for the next few years. They should have guys coming up on defense that can make a difference over the next few years. Gus, Ghost, Morin, Hagg. Thats a nice little pipeline they got going now.

Appearing more and more like Coburn and Read will be Flyers by the end of the evening.
- PhillySportsGuy

Good! I didn't like the idea of trading Coburn for 2nd round picks.

everyone forgets about Alt when he could end up being better than almost all of them (besides maybe Hagg and Morin)

It's a constant back-and-forth between the Oilers and Flyers. Holmgren to EDM table... MacTavish to PHI table... just shake hands already

Coburn?

I'm guessing the offers were very underwhelming. Maybe things heat up after teams lose out on second rate defenseman on free agent market. Coburn may end up being the best available defenseman

You know, it's funny. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's who they're talking about. Homer's trying to pry that kid out of there for something like Coburn, Read and Laughton.

From the hilights that I have seen of him it looks like he can be a very good shut down defensema. MMaybe the offense can come around.

I know, I do. I just think the team has done a pretty good job of collecting D Prospects. No one has superstar potential, but having several quality young blue liners helps with cap space too.

Could possibly be because he speaks French...he's from Quebec, and they tend to be Francophones

Sources say the Oilers are still hammering away at the Flyers with Coburn the primary target.
