Flyers have now added two defenseman to the prospect stable. McKenizie called Hagg, first round talent. All the conversation about the Flyers not drafting defenseman. Things change in a hurry in the NHL. We'll see if they made good picks.

6 defensemen drafted in the past two years, as well as trading for a former 2nd rounder in Mark Alt

So Homer simultaneously destroyed and repaired the draft on the same day?
- eayost

He never destroyed anything to begin with today. You people just don't want to give the poor kid a chance. I bet if Morin ends up being the next best dman in the NHL you will all be singing a different tune.

From incompetent to genius in 30 picks.

I'm sad we didn't get Pulock, but if Pronger can be his mentor then Morin will be a forced to be reckoned with.

Nothing not to like about that pick. Every mock I saw had him in the first round.

Drafting for the future well down the road. Morin and Hagg won't be on the Flyers for at least 3 years. But they may have a good 2nd pairing in 4-5 years.

Nope. I don't have to take out my physical shortcomings by attacking the hockey team I root for in an endless monotonous drone about how awful they are

They should've drafted a Forward. Terrible draft!

I think we'll be very happy with a Morin-Hagg pair for a long, long time.

I was sarcastic about the "destroy" part. My thoughts on Morin are to trust the brass and wait and see

3rd round is not the time to look for an impact forward. If I were the Flyers I'd go goalie prospect (Saros maybe?) because we don't have a 4th. 5th should be a goalie, 6th and 7th should be BAP based on their competitiveness, work ethic, and personality.

Good. There's room for them on the team unless someone wants to overpay.
