Pro-Holmgren guys are spinning their wheels hard right now trying to find the silver lining in the Morin pick. Terrible value pick.

When you see Pronger there in the draft room you knew this pick was coming. This kid looks like Pronger!

Well he should help the Flyers out in about six years.

You know, I am not going to get too excited or down about that pick.

However why the hell are they going off the board with their draft record on D.

You have Zadorov, Pulock and to a lesser degree Morrissey.

I thought they would want more talent on the back end.

I would've even traded #11 for #14 and #44.

its easy to say that but we have no clue what other teams want

well? are people happy or not?
- hammarby31

I am.

There's plenty of ways to skin this cat. There always have been.

But they needed a physical specimen, somebody who can do some things that other guys can't, on defense.

But there's still pick #41 for a purely offensive defenseman. There's trade options, with Braydon Coburn, if you want a different style of defenseman.

I give Craig Button credit: He hit it all along. But as always, it's now up to the kid to progress, do the things that he has to do, to make the Flyers a better team.

Why is there a need for a silver lining? I'm going to see how he develops and turns out before labeling it anything.

And with the 11th pick, the Philadelphia Flyers select, from Brampton in the Ontario Hockey League, defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti.

Bill says he won't be NHL ready for a few years. I guess Homer was being honest when he said this organization needs to preach patience.

I trust the Flyers. They know the Q as well as any organization. This kid has probably been scouted 1 million times.

Why was everyone against the possibility of drafting furcale? He seemed like a solid prospect and it wouldnt be terrible to have more of a sure thing goalie wise in the system

we need a player that can step in NOW. Not later. That was a bad pick by the Flyers. He is too much of a project. Smh.
- justahockeyguy2

that's your problem and a lot of people's right there... very few players can when drafted. your expectations are unreasonable
