according to the Prudential Center website there are 4 tickets available for the Draft...$122 each or $244 each! This can't be right can it?

Good read on the Cobie trade options. I'm not sure getting the 5th is any better than 7th if Nurse is the target. But it does seem odd that we are trading away a top 10 drafted d man in his prime for another top 10 pick d man. What we are really doing is saying Coburn has not lived up to his draft spot...I don't know if that is for certain. And I realize all drafts have different talent levels, but a 7 and an 11 are going to be hard pressed to make the NHL roster. This is clearly a play for the future. By the time these guys see NHL time, G might be past his prime:-)

Who cares if Giroux is past his prime when they contribute. If Giroux starts to decline like other forwards in about 4-5 years, Couturier, B. Schenn, and Laughton will be hitting their prime in that timeframe to take over the team.

All I've seen is that 'progress' was made in their talks last night.

should be able to sit next to Homer for $242.

edit: I'll jump out of my seat and scream, "another goal scored!" when he makes his pick.

I don't think it could be more quiet in the shallowest draft.

Sorry if this has been asked already but I'm just jumping in, what is the most anyone would pay Jags on a 1 year deal? I'm thinking 2.75 to 3.25 range?

I can't see him back. Unless he takes a steep pay cut. I only trade Coburn if a bigger nose is coming back in the deal

I personally wouldn't go that far, but I understand your points. I think too many give him a free pass because he made two good trades...the Carter and Richards trades. I would question most of the rest of his moves though. Some smaller ones like Talbot are good, but many more swings and misses.
- TheGreat28

He has made more than two good trades. He was able to trade zhitnik for Coburn, got briere here in his prime, kimmo, harsty, pronger ( who unfortunately had a career ending injury). Granted lately he has sung and missed, but overall a solid c+,b- job. Not saying he is the best but not the worst either. No free passes, make this team better or start packing. He really is a middle of the road gm IMO.

Today's the day!

What I'd like to see happen today, all things being equal:

If they stay at 11: Rasmus Ristolainen

If they get to 5: Jonathan Drouin (He's there, if Tampa goes for Valeri Nichuskin)

If they obtain Edmonton's #37: Justin Bailey

- AllInForFlyers

My toughest exactly........If Rasmus is on the board at #11 Homer can't over think it. Just pick him and move on.
