tsn has raved at every single top 10 pick. flyers pick moran at 11 and their like...umm...meh.

Flyers rarely miss in the first round, so I'll let this thing play out. This is going to be a bit of a process with such a big Dman.

Kind of weird.

Morin is supposed to be a aggressive shut down type.

Its the guys like Pulock or Zadorov who are supposed to have more complete (offensive) games that are harder to find.

- flyer_nutter

maybe the Flyers make a move to get one of those 2 ...

I'm hoping.

Pro-Holmgren guys are spinning their wheels hard right now trying to find the silver lining in the Morin pick. Terrible value pick.

And with the 11th pick, the Philadelphia Flyers select, from Brampton in the Ontario Hockey League, defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti.

I would've even traded #11 for #14 and #44.

With the 11th overall pick of the first round, the Flyers select defenseman Sam Morin. Huge frame, good skater. He currently projects as a strictly defensive defenseman but there are some who think more of an offensive game could come in time. He was a late riser in the projections after a very strong Under-18 World Championships.

Morin will not be NHL-ready for a few years.

we need a player that can step in NOW. Not later. That was a bad pick by the Flyers. He is too much of a project. Smh.

he might be a good player, but that's the consensus i'm feeling - they could have picked him much lower.
