Im not upset with the 2 Dman in the first 2 rounds, and I dont know enough about any of the other guys to have an opinion. They went for Dmen, the right Dmen can be questioned, but minus Ristolineneninenenen they had their pick of guys and went with Morin for a reason, and I imagine Pronger gave his input on that one.

Buffalo got the 2 guys Im sure most wouldve felt more comfortable with.

Any idea the ceiling on Morin?

Well, he's 6'6 so my guess is he goes with cathedral ...

But on a serious note, I think they feel like this a player they can get a lot out of. Worst comes to worse he's kjell Samuelson

Did you really think they would draft someone at #11 who would step in and play next season?

They desperately need a guy who takes more penalties.

I'd like to hear if Homer believes Morin will provide much offense.

Morin's ceiling is #2 shut-down, puck moving dman. Pretty much a bigger, better puck moving version of Luke Schenn. Which I'm cool with .

They drafted a lot of players who can fight and take PIM. Strong moves by Holmgren.

not particularly ... I thought they could have dropped 10 spots and still got Morin plus another pick, though.

like Haag, as I said ... but beyond that this draft is confusing to me.

Seriously though, Laughton centering Z1 and Z2 would be a pretty sick energy line. I just wish we didn't use our 3rd rounder on him. We still could've gotten a good D prospect or one of the best goalie prospects, and he would've been there 2 round later.

Flyers need a few holes to fill. This team will be just fine next year.

No, but I think Ryan Pulock is more polished and is 1-2 years out compared to Morin who is 3-5.

Anyone who thinks Holmgren is done your mistaken. With free agency coming up next Friday he will make some moves and trades.

Eh I hope so seemed like he talked to Edmonton all day...He has to do something we need a backup/starter in net, need some forward depth as well. Thats one thing a lot of people forget in the last two season flyers have lost Jagr, JVR, and Briere. None of the mentioned have been replaced and they just drafted two d-men who are a few years away. Not complaining about the picks just saying there is some scoring depth that needs to be addressed.
