5'8 165 is just too small in a league where guys will have 20-40 pounds on him.

Again, that's not exactly their hometown, where family and friends would see them everyday and remind them of mistakes/missed opportunities. Learning the NHL game is hard enough without having to add hometown expectations/pressure on top of it at the start of your career.

Like I said, I think it should be analyzed on a case-by-case basis, and ultimately determined through a thorough screening process. There are some players who would love to play in their hometowns, even to start their careers, so there is no blueprint to follow. Again, I think a player's mental make-up/toughness can be ascertained through what is now an extensive review process.

I would hope Ballard is gone whether Edler is traded or not.

He's not a $4.2 million D and never will be one. Better to be rid of that contract.

- Fosco

Would you trade Edler + 24th for 3rd plus Malone (Tampa holds 2 mill in salary)

I haven't been very adventurous lately, so I've been drinking Czechvar. With this warm weather i think i'll try some summer brews, just need time to find a patio.

I tried Rickards Shandy a while back it was quite nice a good hot day beverage.

I'll give it a try, as long as it doesn't come with the notorious Rickards rumble.

Someone come up with a proposal to send them to Philly!
- Nucker101

VANTEL and Bieksa#3 for the man in the box and future considerations, if the Flyers win the cup we get another fan to be determined later.

I've been pimping a shandy beer lately from Austria, Stigl grapefruit. It's only 2.5% alc but that means you can drink like 30 of them!

Maybe when I was younger, don't have the time or desire to drink that many.

How does it taste? I wouldn't mind a nice beer that I could have a few in the evening without really getting a buzz.

If you bring them along right then I don't tionk that's an issue.

I also feel playing for the team you have always wanted to suit up for gives you the little extra battle when it gets tough.

It's freaking delicious! I never have more than one or two either, and it's nutritious.

Never trade Schneider within the division unless it's a serious overpayment, which that isn't at all.
- LeftCoaster

I couldnt agree more, Especially considering the fire power those boys will have in another two years. Very bad idea. Unless we get one of RNH, Hall, Or Eberle in return , dont even consider it.
