Giroux is a center. And I can't think of a better rw than st Louis,

Perry, zetterberg?

So Seguin can fetch the #3 plus? Glad that's not an over value.

ima guess your willng to do this?? like yesterday?

id be upset if you guys got seguin.

7th and musil

trade gags for a defender

It certainly sounds plausible enough. Sounds like the entry price for Seguin is a top 10 pick, and Gaudreau is one of the Flames few good prospects. His future is bright but uncertain - he's committed to another year of NCAA but the Flames have been trying to get him to change his mind.

so a 2nd overall that's got 2 extra years of development, has a 67 point season under his belt, is developing well and been involved in two deep runs, one with a ring, is no longer worth the 3rd??

every year, whoever the new kid is apparently worth so much more for some reason....

St. Louis had the best season of any right winger this year. Playing on a line with the best goal scorer in the NHL. That doesn't make him the best right winger in the league. He's amazing, no doubt, but not the best. He's also 38, and while the wheels clearly haven't fallen off yet, they will soon enough.

You know who's young and one of the best RWs in the league right now? Phil Kessel.

You say that as though Seguin has in any way hit his ceiling. He's 21. He's just getting started, and if the learning curve he's demonstrated to this point in his career is any indication, he's going to be a very dominant player for a long time. Boston's shitty cap management is some very lucky team's gain.

keep in mind Boston is targeting a top 10 pick for him but not all teams there are interested at the same level. Also I think Calgary, which is absolutely desperate for centers, will be a little more enthusiastic than Tampa

Hopefully... I'm hoping for some type of trade tomorrow. If not... then they will have to rely on FA.

Exactly. Since Giroux entered the league. When St. Louis was already well into his prime then.

Amazing comparison.
