If Tallon was smart, he'd draft Jones and trade Kulikov or Gudbranson for a top line RW or C. With Perrovic and Matheson, there is plebty of depth at D in the system. Build this team the right way. |

If there are no big trades tomorrow I will be ASTOUNDED! The market is perfect for a nutty day tomorrow. - Meeqsb
Feaster will make some kind of a big trade. Either Cammi, or trading the #6 for a proven 1C, or by somehow trading up. I would wager 5 beers on this. |

I think Sakic was serious about taking Mackinnon, it didn't sound like posturing to me at all.
Duchene is untouchable, however both O'reilly or Stastny could be moved. We also have the Cap space to sign a solid FA and Elliot, Barrie and Siemens are all close to playing in the league. At the moment it is more about waiting for the contracts of Zanon, Hunwick and now Sarich to expire. Wilson is up in the air at this point. - Meeqsb
ROR can't be moved until March 2014. Statsny is going to fetch not a great return. |

Thornton is a beast who gives it all every game. When Boston ran him out of town for "not performing" he had played that playoffs with broken ribs. I wonder if they'll do the same to Bergeron? Not likely. - PuckingOpinion
No, because Bergeron actually performed.

Marleau is your boy... and they year you guys got eliminated by Detroit or when you guys beat them.. it was Marleau carrying the team on his back. If I could have either on my team I'd take Marleau... funny they go 1-2 in the 1997 draft and end up playing together!
Marleau and Couture are siiiiiik... SJ will be fine for years still! - thehockeygod
The year we beat Detroit in 7, Marleau didn't have a goal until game 7. Certainly a clutch time to come through and score, but his lack of production in the playoffs has been abysmal. Sharks fans would all vouch for Thornton before Marleau as a playoff performer. |

Either way, you can't miss. Based on position, Drouin has a better chance of succeeding.
I still think Colorado takes Jones. That being said, I really hope you guys land MacKinnon. A one - two, Huberdeau - MacKinnon is disgusting.

Anyway we look at it, Tampa is getting Jones, MacKinnon or Drouin. Panthers have to do what is best for them. . IMO for the panthers it's MacKinnon- Drouin - Jones. |

I have an answer. Draft Jones (assuming Col does take Mackinnon) and sign Lecavlier as our #1 center ( assuming he wants to play here) . Now we filled two holes we had and drastically improved our club. We don't have to trade Kuli or Guds for a top forward if we can bring in Lecavlier AND have a chance at success this season.
