Some WGR guy said he wouldn't trade Girgenson for the 1st pick in the draft this year. So, there you have it.

To support your point, I tried calling in yesterday to Schopp + Bulldog after one of their many "what has Darcy done for me lately" rants in which they pointed out we were last in our division last year, and Darcy let Drury and Briere walk.

First, I was sickened by the drury/Brier crap--That is all I heard for 2 friggin' years and I thought it was behind us, but I wanted to say that there are far more teams that have not won a Cup since the lockout than have actually won one. Do the 25 other teams also have GMs that completely suck, too? Are their fans better armchair GMs? These guys make a living bashing Darcy for 3 hours a day and it still does not change a thing.

Sunday's draft will be a ton of fun, and the Summer will bring a surprise or two. We will be probably the youngest team in the NHL and my hope is Enroth gets to be a NHL #1. Lots of talent to root for on our team!

I don't even listen to WGR anymore . The Bulldog I can deal with . It is Mike Schopp that has made me turn my dial . He thinks he is the smartest guy in the room always . It is a fine line between a genius and idiot ! He has no concept of team sports and what is like to be a member of an actual team . What it means or the feeling of being part of a team . I am tired of his talk trying to relate team sports to how tennis and golf work.

There are times that things he said would make me want to drive down to that Station and slap some sense into him . He is a pompous ass and everything that is wrong about sports talk radio

My impression of Cody is that he really wants to be that guy. Dude is still so young, and I see his upside waaaay bigger than Ennis....he just needs to work on his defense. I'll never forget one play when he busted ass 180 feet down the ice to beat out an icing, dished to Pommer for a one-timer...that hustle on a seemingly busted play made me a Hodgy fan.

I would be very happy to see Ennis traded, on the other hand. I do not believe he wants to be or can be the go-to guy.

So Mr Squirrel are you a professional hockey scout ? If you are I would suggest a change of careers . I have talked to few scouts and they seem to have a high opinion of Girgenson . You are aware that he was the youngest player in the AHL . With his work ethic they all agree he has a huge potential. But don't let facts get in the way of your argument.
