And that is why I question why you still cheer for them. Ive hated Tim Connolly since the get go, but he scored some damn fine goals when he was here. Its fine to hate someone, but you have to give them credit for the good theyve done, even if it hurts.

Hard to give credit when what he's doing still is not working.

Everyone can say that now but at the time of the contract he was seen as one of the top up and coming Dman. he was projected to be on the Canadian olympic team and anyone who makes that team is worth that contract.

I think he lacks the motivation to be what you want him to be. Hopefully he will come to camp in shape for once this season and prove me wrong.

He didnt over value anything. He paid the MARKET VALUE.

The problem is the market gets more and more expensive every year. Hence what you just said about Bickell and Clarkson. Both are 2nd line guys at best who are going to get Leino money, if not more

Swap Gernat with Musil/Marcincin and add Pajaarvi. We could add a 2nd in the 50s or Stafford and then you have a deal.

Sometimes you have to pay a guy for what he can become. We did that, hopefully he reaches what everyone in the hockey world thinks he can be.
