- Sheppy99

He's no James Reimer or Jonathan Bernier, that's for sure!

A Leafs fans talking about winning a playoff series.

I'll gladly do it if Gillis (frank)s this team up. I'll be leading the charge for the fire Gillis bandwagon as well.

It is reported Edmonton are very much in the mix. It would have to be a huge huge return or you don't do it. Why would the Canucks want to make a division rival a playoffs contender? .What happens if you trade and they make the playoffs and you don't .

As stupid as this sounds I only trade Schneider to the Oilers for Yak and a first for Schneider Ballard and a first . Otherwise what's the next offer .

- VANTEL

Obviously....... never has a haul ever in the history of the NHL been seen for a goalie but it totally makes sense that Gillis can pull it off. He seems to be able to do things that no other GM would even attempt......

Still whining about Dreger I see. Pierre LeBrun also reported it if that helps. And they never claimed to hear it from Vancouver but other teams. Not saying it's true but this Dreger crying is getting ridiculous.
- westcoastleaf

Dreger is Toronto's version of Dan Murphy. Both have their heads buried up the Canucks and Leafs asses that people mistake them as Insiders. They are publicists for their respective teams .Not real hockey people.

In 80 starts during that span as well, but apparently he's unproven despite stellar numbers in the AHL and College as well. The guy's been pretty dominant at every level that he's played at.
- Nucker101

He's played enough games to qualify as a "leader" in the stats categories. If it weren't for the Lu drama (where they were flipping coins to see who would start for a stretch rather than giving either goalie a chance to get rolling) I think he would have been up there for the Vezina last season.

Flyers or the Devils should be all over a Schneider deal.

Clutch putts on the back nine? None of them have proven any more than Schneider at the NHL level. I still wouldn't make the deal, but to say they're tested is a bit of a stretch.
- Michael_Stuart

Huge stretch - but what do you expect from Deadmonton fans.

Mac T knows the Canucks well, and he does have the guts to make a move with MG. Yakupov is a winger, we need to get a center back, unless they have something else going in a separate deal(s).

That is why you don't trade in your division. You don't trade the better goalie on your team for a mid to low return unless you are the Montreal Canadians

We need scoring. Also you can pick up a center with the 7 th overall.

That's why nobody can trade with the canucks cause you have to factor in your vivid imaginations....

Your GM doesn't trade at all. This debacle should of been taken care of a year ago.

He keeps waiting for something better to come along, meanwhile the hole keeps getting bigger and bigger and more funny.

Buddy last year Tor had Komi Gunner and a 2nd to every possible trade in the history of the game. Canucks are not the only team that have trouble trading

The GM and fanbase that takes advantage of Gillis' idiocy and can actually pull off a trade for a franchise goalie like Schneider and leave the Canucks stuck with Luongo should be celebrating and laughing.

He had that injury since junior and to be honest, I'd rather have the shoulders of a 15 year old than the vaginas of a pair of 15 year old twin Swedes.

No, we just had Komi going to Vancouver for Luongo. I don't remember anywhere else we offered him. Maybe to Islanders to help with their cap floor and even then we only wanted like a 3rd round pick if that.

You really think Gillis is much better?

Everybody with a brain knew last year the trade market for luongo was poop. The only person who didn't know this was canuck fans and Gillis.

So equating Gillis's hockey knowledge to the same level of fans is not out of line.
