Good sure, but I wouldn't say very good. I don't see him as a top 10 goalie like you do, and I see Schneider with very realistic top 5 potential(needs a full season of his usual numbers before he's in that discussion) and IMO he's a top 10 goalie already right now.


Not to mention the increased cap penalties with the longer time Luongo is a Canuck and the fact that the team is pretty much stuck with him until he retires then.

If Schneider is dealt the price will be high. And if the oilers truly are very interested in him Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and one of a 2014 first rd pick, Klefbom or Paajarvi will be the return.

He doesn't need to be the best in the NHL, how many Vezina winners won the Stanley Cup in the same season last 15 years? He just needs to be good, which he is. Would I prefer Schneider at the end of the day, of course I would...I'm not a stupid man!

If Lu plays for another say three or four years, the Canucks can then buy him out at a much lower price (for the Aquilini's) and the cap will be much much higher.

don't blame you there. I think Dubnyk might be a good goalie in a couple of years. Admittedly I haven't seen him a lot but he looks technically sound, big, and capable.
