The only credible sources here are mentioning Schneider. Nothing about Edler or Kesler.

Another player generated a lot of phone calls towards Vancouver is d-man Alex Edler. His NTC kicks in July 1 but teams are calling...

Well there's still no credible source on Kesler there from what I see. More speculation than anything. Edler, I have no doubt that teams are calling for him, I know you guys like to rip on him but there's a reason why he'd be highly sought after. We'll see if Gillis is willing to move him though, that's another story.

Hopkins and the seventh selection? Wow, is all I got to say. If the Oilers accept that, the Canucks would be fools to say no.

zero chance the oil trade the nuge in this deal. cmon.

if dreger is accurate (lol) and gillis is looking for a 1st and a top prospect for Schneider:

Nino Niederreiter, 15th overall pick, and toss in Aaron Ness or Kiril Kabanov

I think Gillis is just trying to stir up the fanbase so that we have something more to talk about than what system Torts is going to use and the fact that we're going to end up mired in mediocrity for the forseeable future. My guess is tomorrow you'll see a minor deal like Ballard for a 7th round pick, or the rights to Raymond for a 4th or something and Gillis will be all smug and talk about how he's changed the franchise by hitting his reset button (read that Big Red Button at Staples)

Is a scenerio where where Rask walks and Schneider to Boston possible? Schneider and a 1st for Seguin? Thus Boston keeps Horton and Peverely, and perhaps another top 6 is added?
Edler is as good as gone.

And both goalies still on the roster? According to Dreger there's serious talks going on between the Canucks and Oilers about Schneider. (frank)ing Oilers fans are going to be spoiled.

Dreger says the canucks are asking for a 1st and top prospect as only part of the package.

doubt it.

from everything ive heard and even from ference's comments, resigning rask is first and foremost on their list

not only that, but with horton walking, they really aint in too much cap trouble and neither need nor can afford to lose seguin. any rumour of him is probably dead

Just hand the Oilers the division next year now if you move him straight up for Yakupov IMO.

I agree. Most likely Ebs or Yaks. They need a #1 center. Ian is crazy to think edm throws a 1st plus along with nuge but I think no less crazy then people who think they are getting him for a decent prospect and a pick.
