I do not like that trade at all for the Oilers, but what do I know.

at this stage, id gladly "settle" for him as a 3rd line guy.

I hope (and expect) they go after Bolland 1st, but as a cheaper, vet option, id say go for it. Would damn sure beat having Kevin Porter as your 3rd C

If Darcy plays his cards right, he can make 2 big deals. I prefer to keep Vanek but that looks like it won't happen. We need a player(s) that can play now for both of them IMO, I would rather not have picks.

Who in the league do you NOT want Darcy to acquire? Sometimes you have this tone in your blogs that the fans are not being supportive / fair to the team or players... then you post that you want every player in the league as the slightest hint that the guy may be available. How about some objectivity once in a while and a reason or two why someone isn't worth the price or ideal for this team? Darcy has that same problem, just grabbing players via trade (albeit even good deals at times) and yet no eventual idea on how to shape an actual "team". A team is not a collection of random players... it is assembling the parts together like a puzzle and make it work on all cylinders. Not a simple collection of toys, valuable or not.
