I see them movin Ruiz and paplebon at the deadline and lee if they get blown away by an offer
- griouxmvp2012

If you had the option of trading Pap and lee for a few top prosepcts or trading one of them along with Howard and his entire contract, what would you do?

1) COL - Mac
2) FLA - Barkov
3) TBL - Druin
4) NAS - Lindholm
5) CAR - Jones

- Winning

In this scenario I see moving Read, Coburn and the 11th as a big waste. Nurse wasnt worth moving up for at that price and if you take a forward you still have to trade someone else for a Dman.

Nischuskin or Lindholm, and Edler in.

Read, Coburn, Simmonds+ out

Yeah, Im not too crazy about that.

I didn't want to start a conversation about his politics. I'm not a fan of his politics or of what he did to the Bruins. Gotta respect his conviction and confidence tho. He was a good goalie. If he can still play and he wants to play and the price is right...why not? The Flyers might be a good fit for him. Snyder is a big-time conservative.

A deal around profar would be great for Lee. A deal around Castellanos from the Tigers would be great for Pap. The Tigers are one good closer away from being the best team in the league.

See the problem is they are up for a new tv deal and word is they want their own tv station like the yanks and Red Sox. So I don't see them blowing it up too much

There were rumors that he wasn't well liked in the locker room. Not just because of his no-show at the white house. I would think the team is a bit weary of acquiring goalies with flaky personalities at this point.

I don't think they want their own network. It's too much work. They will just charge Comcast a ridiculous amount. This team has such a dated tv deal. Their revenues are going to go through the roof. Howards contract will be chump change.

I should be excited but feel a sense of impending doom.

The trading Coburn talk is depressing, I just feel like they are going to screw it up somehow.

Could be worse I suppose.
NYRs are keeping Brad Richards around.
At least they moved on from Bryz.

First and foremost, he's old and I seriously doubt a year out of the league has helped his skills any. But who knows?

Disregarding the politics, he put himself above his team and used the trip to the White House to grandstand and make a statement, and it was neither the time nor the place for such a move.

Hey Sunshine...

Better not trade Coburn...he's going to have a bounce-back season.

certainly more than Mez. I'm just nervous to get rid of a guy who is fairly reliable when paired with another top 4 dman.

They probably will move Papelbon if they hit the All-Star break, say, 10 down, so it wouldn't be blowing up the team. What benefit would Papelbon be at that point anyway?

It would be freeing up mucho bucks and ridding themselves of a huge hole in the middle of the lineup.
