if you're the Flyers what would you give up to trade for Jones at 2?
- jstross

Well getting 3 possible picks in the top 41 is a start. More will need to be added, but I wouldn't be shocked all this trade chatter is to get Tallon to move off of #2. Homer likes to swing for the fences, I would not be shocked at all.

Cuz Craig Button has a hardon for the kid and he's been riding the Flyers for Morin pick at 11 for god knows how long.
- Yosimar89

intriguing pick, he reminds me of a mean chara with bits of pronger in his game. i'd be far from pissed if that was the pick, unless someone great slipped to 11

But why Paajarvi? Can't they include something else like a 2nd rounder?
- PhillySportsGuy

Its not Paajarvi that people seem to hate (im guessing) its just in comparison to the return.

Paajarvi was the 10th overall pick just 4 years ago.... He has talent. I would absolutely take the gamble on paajarvi over the gamble of a 2nd round pick.

Seems like a pretty big risk. If they pickup a late first rounder I would be on board.

I just don't like him. There are many other players I'd rather have who have the same perceived value.

I think he was looking for the cameramen to acknowledge they should cut taping...

some rankings have him as high as 13, central scouting had his final ranking at 17. he's not that much of a reach IMO

So he's a meaner, less skilled Ryan Pulock?

He has limited offensive upside, we have enough of the stay at home type.

Didn't the Flyers select him a few years back? I thought his name was Oliver something or other.

And honestly, you don't need advanced stats to know that at his age, and in the situations he played in. That he's a top defensive forward. And this is a kid that is far from physically mature, and we'll gain more and more experience as time goes by. All you have to do is watch the games.
- MJL

He's not a top defensive forward right now, either by statistical measure nor by visual confirmation. He's a young player who shows promise and potential upside as a good defensive forward with some scoring skills, but also is green and makes mistakes and is poor at faceoffs. ...still a long way to go to be established as a top defensive forward in the league.

Perfect. I hate our Philly media. Especially, the less knowledgeable, Michael Barkann

I didn't mind him until he was on every channel all day.
