You said I was "franking" ridiculous; or rather that the idea that the Bruins might want to keep a guy that nearly helped them win a 2nd SCF in three years playing a vital role on a line with Lucic and Krejci was. In essence you were attacking my opinion.

Multiple credible sources said Seguin can be had. They also said it would take an overwhelming offer to get him. Columbus is a team that could make that kind of offer.

I am quite familiar with that team and there is absolutely an urgency to make the playoffs next year. In order to do that they need impact talent that can help them next year. It's very unlikely any of the three guys they draft, assuming they remain where they do, are going to help next year.

That team overachieved primarily on the back of superb goaltending. Their team puck possession stats were awful and even after trading for Gaborik they absolutely need another legit offensive player. If they return more or less the same lineup that ended last season they would need a repeat performance from Bob and some luck to get into the playoffs. If I am Kekalainen I am not betting on those things happening and I am trying to make another big move.

Seriously, what have I ever said to or about you or written elsewhere on this site or others that would cause you to call me arrogant? That comment really bothers me and I can't understand your rationale for it. I don't know who the hell you are. I've never had a problem with you. What gives you the right or the reason to insult me?
Edit: Unless you are some member of this site who aggravated everyone and got banned as a result. Is that it? No regular on this blog has ever expressed a dislike toward me but whatever, dude.

I have had a few clashes on here and I find you to be complete opposite. Articulate and educated. Educated in hickey anyway unlike some I don't check spelling or grammar since I'm not exactly Hemingway myself

Thank you, I appreciate that. We might not always agree but I respect the opinions of others and you have been respectful in your arguments. As long as the person I disagree with is respectful as well then I won't have a problem with anyone.

More than likely I'll be wrong on what I'm about to say, buyt I wouldn't rule out Richards being dealt either this week or during the summer.
After learning he wouldn't be bought out he's alleged to have said I'll be better
(in 13/14) no matter where I am playing. Hmmmmmm. You never know.

Even if he is traded, the Rangers will still be screwed if he retires early. Better to hold onto him now and buy him out next year

Theres no point in trading him, Rangers are still on the hook for him as is the team that trades for him.

I have always found Glen to be an expert on Thomas Hickey.

I feel like everyone is going to be disappointed by the lack of Ranger activity today.

I would love a million moves like everyone else, but I don't see it.

Well, only if he retires 5-6 years down the line. They wouldn't have his cap hit on the books in the interim, which would be a big deal for a team trying to win now. But, I don't think any team would take on that contract without the Rangers retaining significant salary, and if they were to do that, the only way the buyout wouldn't make the most sense is if the Rangers were concerned about the actual cash.

the biggest question I have to anyone speculating that Brad Richards could be traded is what do you do about his no movement clause?

why wouldn't Richards prefer being in a position like Lecavalier is in right now? Getting a big fat buyout check and then having the freedom to sign anywhere he wants.

Why would Brad Richards, who waited a long time to become a free agent before he came here two years ago, allow the Rangers to choose the next place he plays?

Ahhh...two days later and I still don't understand this decision.

If Richards' cap hit was only 1.5M or so less....

Conor Allen, the 23 year old college defenseman who some believe could step in right away, carries a 1.775 million cap hit and is yet another left handed shot.

He wouldn't, he is a Ranger next year, we all have to accept that...& pray he doesn't get hurt.

I woke up this morning hoping it was all a bad dream. Guess not. I would love someone in the Ranger organization offer a justification for this totally unsupportable move. I have nothing against Brad Richards, I was at the front of the line whooping it up the day he signed. But, now 2 years removed from that signing he would need to win the cup, and be named Conn Symthe winner just for the club to break even. Ok, that would be great, but then he still would need to be bought out due to the new CBA restrictions. Well, maybe Graves will make a comeback and sign for a year to play on the left side. Even at his age he would give us something we could use this season. Hey, nothing else they've done this week makes any effin sense.
