What do you guys make of Alex Edler? Tied in for the next 6 years at $5 million per, and was identified by one hockey writer as the most likely Canuck player to have issues playing with Torts, and the Canucks should consider moving him now. - Pete V
For the right price (which I have no clue what) I would take him |

Question for the guys who seem to know a lot about the prospects. Who should be the number one pick this year McKinnon or Jones. Team needs not being a factor |

Only makes a million more than Staal. Just don't see the Canucks play alot because I'm usually out like a light by the time they start. - Pete V
I would rather put that money towards a top 6 player than a defenseman. |

I lean towards McKinnon but you can't go wrong either way |

Second most important position in hockey behind goalie... having a bonafide #1 center to lead your team. |

Richards being here kills options but it would take way too much to get him |

I just checked, Winnipeg has 12 players under contract with a bunch of RFA's (including Wheeler) to re-sign. If they have a strength and assuming they extend Bogosian, I would say D is their deepest position. I don't know if they would deal Wheeler unless they reach an impasse in contract negotiations. - gkmkiller
How bout brassard for wheeler ? |

mmmm tough bargain. i think the values are fair but i'm just not sure i do it after brassard's post-deadline performance. if he can live up to his potential, he could be the best center on our team. |

Brassard seems to love New York and played great since he has been a Ranger. I want to give him a chance here |

I dont mind Brassard as a 3C, although we have Lindberg who is probably more fit for that role because hes good defensively as well. |

brassard is a top 6 center. he has so much skill, sick hands, and amazing vision. let's just hope he can produce consistently enough to stay in the top 6. |

Well, hes gonna start out as a 3C until Richards screws the pooch. |

Honestly, I dont think so. I think Richards will have a good year... probably better than the first year he was here. |

It couldn't get worse really. He had a couple of game spurts here or there but generally was pretty awful. Hopefully a more offensive system and a full conditioned camp is what he needs. |

His first year wasn't even that great for the contract we signed him to lol. But even still, I would bet that doesn't happen. |

All I ask of him is to stay healthy. Give us the chance to buy him out next offseason. If he actually helps us win some games, that is gravey |

I love brass.
The only thing that scares me is his history of shoulder issues, but his play as been awesome, dude can pass the puck. |

I dont know if anyone realized this but JT Miller, in the 26 games he played for us, was 53.4% on faceoffs... 3rd on the team with a minimum 100 faceoffs.
The one thing this team can work on, a lot, is the missed shots. We have WAYYYYYYYYYY too many shots missing the net. |
