until someone gets injured. - rangerdanger94
I totally understand that it would hurt the defensive core. Have to be honest, however, I would rather get more explosive on offense and let McIlrath try to wing a job and Moore and Del Zotto take the next step. Anytime you make a trade of regulars in the NHL, you always rob Peter to pay Paul. |

Any intrest in wheeler for DZ? - Slimtj100
Just a note about trading MDZ. If you trade him, I would almost guarantee you that John Moore becomes the new whipping boy. And that was a kid that was scratched in Columbus, and has some pretty bad +/- numbers in his career. I would be afraid that all of a sudden he would have too much pressure on him. At least we know that MDZ has thick enough skin for New York. Not saying that Moore wouldn't, but it something to consider.

You mentioned him a couple of weeks ago, and I went to look at his numbers, and they were crazy good. Way better than I thought. He is an underrated player. Can't remember whether he plays the left or right side, and usually I don't care about those things, but the Rangers are jammed on the right, and could use a left winger. |

Old School was Brad Richards biggest fan, a couple of years ago. He wanted to move significant assets at the deadline before Richards became a UFA to acquire him. And, I was right with him on the decision to acquire Richards as a UFA. Man, what a difference a couple of years makes.

I am surprised no trades have went down yet. I guess teams are waiting til the last minute to see if they can get better offers. |

He is a RW, but unless we move Nash to LW and MZA off the roster, he would be playing 3rd line minutes and I dont want to trade MDZ for someone who will play 3rd line. |

He's like a rick nash-lite. Big and takes the puck to the net hard with some good hands. He was very raw in Boston and Cam Neely never wanted to get rid of him. Seems like he was right. |

Vinny met with about 10 teams today and the rangers were not one of them do not see any way heis coming here.
Also somebody posted a article about rangers prospects and it said McIllrath is about 2-3 years away still I woul don't be trading away a dman hoping he takes that spot. |
