newsflash - no team in their right mind will take on horcoff's 5m to play the 3rd line. it ain't happening. Lu retorts not needed. we already know nobody will take his contract.

Even though our defencemen prospect pool is pretty solid, I think the Oilers draft either Nurse or Ristolinan (sp?) if they pick 7th. We've got our 4 core forwards needed for the next 5-7 seasons. Never hurts to pick up a big defenceman with some edge to him, which both Nurse and Ristolinan have. We've got 1 of our core d-men needed (J Schultz), the ideal 2nd member of the core would be big and physical. Klefbom, Marincin, & Nurse or Ristolinan would look really good battling it out for that #2 spot.

Personally I'd trade Gagner now while his value is at an all time high and try to sign a 2nd line centre (Bozak) and trade for Bolland (depending on the cost). Bozak has a history with Eakins so there could be a potential good fit there in my opinion.

as far as dion, agreed that he'd be an upgrade as he'd immediately be on our top pairing. but with ony 1 year left on his contract, u aint giving up much without an extension signed. and he needs to take at least a 500k paycut. preferably a million.

I can't see how he comes back after MacT brought up his name in the public. Would be one thing if he just made a generalization, but he didn't.

probably , but he and hemsky want to play together... so there's that... and yes I wld keep hemsky around if jagr came, but he is old and looks it, not scoring in the playoffs was kinda scary to me.
