I have it on good authority that he too will be traded. Given the value of top pairing d-men right now it's safe to say that the Canucks will be receiving quite the package in return for Edler as well.

Being a full-time starter is about more than how many games you play. It's about actually winning the damn job. Which Schneider has been unable to do. It was assumed he would be it this year, but then cacked at the beginning necessitating Luongo having to play a bunch.

To make the team better.
Edler is as good as gone. So far it looks like the Flyers have the best package to offer for him but there's a couple other teams that are also working on something. Top pairing d-men in their prime with a good cap hit don't come along every day.

No, Luongo was always going to play a bunch. He's a great goalie and with the condensed schedule that was always the plan. Schneider was 4th in save% and 7th in GAA. If you remove game 1, where he "cacked," Schneider would have had the 2nd best GAA last season. Since when does game 1, with no pre-season, mean you aren't a starting goalie???

Seems like he's saying if you're not Yzerman then there's no way you can be as connected as he is. My assumption is that he must be Gillis. Which makes a ton of sense now.

BTW...do you think Vinnie will sign a 1 year deal so he can return to TB in 2014? Or will this be his last contract?
