If I'm Homer I would ride it out with the young and promising Mason. We have tried signing these older players like Luongo too many times they simply never work out. 5 million for Leavlier is a steal for one season. I would even offer him 6 to try and get him to come to the FLyers. I would also sign Stalberg for around 4 million to play wing. They signed Mark Streit. If we could come up with a package to move up in the top 5 I would do it and take the best defenseman available. I would LTIR Mez to save another 4 plus million. Maybe trade Cobuurn to save more money. Use the rest of this money on Letang and really piss off Pen fans. I would not put any of this past Homer. It may not win a cup but you can't deny that looks like a pretty good team talent wise.

The both have 1 year left on their contract. Halak makes about $2M less than Miller. Do you honestly think that Miller is a $2M upgrade over Halak?

Perron has skill, but I am not a big fan of his and hope the Blues shop him this offseason as we have extra wingers and likely need to move one. Perron would be my first choice.

All reports are that's around what he is going to be signed for maybe 5 million. A two time 20 goal scorer isn't getting no 7 million dollar deal. Watch. No one thing I listed is unrealistic either.

MTL likely would go for Vinny for a 4 year term @ $4 million/yr. And....Lecavalier has stated in the past that he would like to play for the Habs.
