part of my problem with pominville wasn't that he wasn't talented, it was that I always thought of him as an ideal RW for a bottom 6 line.

Vanek - guy we don't have - other guy we don't have that's way better than pominville

Tropp/Foligno - Hodgson - Pominville

these two lines would have been fine but the glaring need is that we didn't have players worth a sh!t on our top line.

part of my problem with trading vanek is the idea of getting an unproven kid or a draft pick that they might screw up/not get a stud with.

hell, I really like the idea of getting vinny lecavalier just because it adds a potential for having a stud fill-in. I know he's old and overpriced but if they got him for a few years, maybe they could get a little risky with the draft this year and throw their 8th + 16th + a 2nd or two and maybe even a prospect and go for broke for one of these really good guys AND keep vanek AND maybe even field a team worth a poop this year! or any other year!

Leddy is a RFA, not UFA. Huge difference in what he will get paid.

Bolland is a goner for sure, they have to deal him to clear salary and resign everyone else. I would be shocked if Bolland isn't traded by the end of the first round of the draft on Sunday.

I left for work at 4:00 am and it was 93 already, I'm in my office now doing work orders from yesterday. After that's done it's back outside until 1:00

We had that weather in Chicago yesterday, and it was hot. But it's cooled off today and they're showing the rest of the weekend being in the 70's, so you guys should have a nice break in a day or so.

Man, no hockey games to watch is really a drag.

I wouldn't mind if they traded leddy for some young NHL-ready assets. That would clear up salary. Not including the playoffs, Brookbank looked fine this season.
