Vinny does want 1yr deal to return back to Tampa next year as I assume we all know.
I think he ends up in DET although would be nice to see him in the blue and gold for 6 mil or higher.
Letang is a mess. Eff that guy. We dont need him cause I bet wed give up way too much.
Letang goes to MTL come draft time and that makes Lecavalier not able to play in his hometown and he picks DET instead as DET loses Fillipula.
Fucale has a very good chance to go to NJD with their first or if they trade down. They dont have a first next year correct? Marty era is almost over... |

Calgary-style rebuild. - benny948
That actually makes no sense.
Calgary held onto Kipper and Iggy 5 yrs to long. Something the Sabres should think about when dealing with Miller and Vanek. |

Every team does that..
STL did it just like a week ago... Colorado said it about ROR and NSH said it about Weber.
it is no new thing.. it just makes the GMs job easier.. he doesn't have ot get them to sign his deal. - JVince11
and Darcy is all about making his job easier ( ex extensive search into coaching candidates)

Roberts program is more than working out, it's teaching how to eat the right things, how to exercise both in season and off season, it's a total lifestyle change
the reason the people who do it suceed is because they are dedicated to making a change/suceeding before they enter the program , if they forced it on the players ( like Pegula giving Roberts a bunch of money to train the Sabres) it wouldn't take with most of them b/c they haven't made the committment to change thier habits
IMO of course - billyk
Still, couldn't hurt right?
And having it dictated by the team might get more to "buy in"
Also,
If u get a couple influential guys that really get into it, it very well can have an effect where it spreads throughout the rest of the youngsters
IMO, of course |

darcy is inept IMO- but is very calculating and doesnt BS when he actually comments (usually).
he doesnt use the word "suffering" by accident. and he has stated several times how he has learned from 7/01/07. he will not let players walk for nothing.
only way they stay is if he holds out for a better deal that never comes (distinct possibility) or one of them indicates a desire to stay. |

Ennis is trade bait to me... I think that 55 points is his ceiling every year..
he can only get to that playing center.. but on this team right now with Hodgson, Grigorekno, Girgensons, Larsson, and Kea.. he doesn't have a future staying at center.
at wing he is like a 35-40 point a season guy at MAX. - JVince11
We usually agree...
But we are far apart on this one
With consistent, decent linemates,
Ennis is at least a 20goal guy whether he's on the wing or at center
And if he's with other guys producing,
That's at least 30assists as well
But I fully expect him to be a 25-40-65pts type guy as long as he's in our top6 & getting PP time
Again though, with good linemates
Guy needs SOME help
He basically was on his own last year |

Rules are different for players who sign the ELC over 20 years old. Lundqvist was 22. |

Sadly enough.. I see him as our 1RW next season...
there is NO BODY else that can play there right now.

that many bandwagoners huh?
I have never seen my facebook newsfeed so full of Hawks poop before in my life.. I bet if I asked 75% of those people to name 3 people on the team they couldn't.
"whats that dan? a team within an hour drive from here is actually worth a poop?? I better start claiming I am a fan right now! I have always loved the Bluehawks.. poop I mean blackhawks.." |

Age plays a factor as Lundqvist was 23 when he signed his EL.
See Tim Kennedy for an example. He purposefully waited til he was 23 to sign his EL knowing he gets Arb rights at the end of it.
Vanek was signed at 20 and thus didn't have arb rights. |

ennis would be a fantastic secondary scorer on a good team. too much placed on him here and not enough around him. with a legit 1st line here i could see ennis/hodgson together on a stud second line.
