At least he is working over the summer, compared to pigging out. - benny948
thats my boy...
mark my words.... Myers will get a Norris vote if he stays healthy and is used offensively instead of being handcuffed to the blue line as a stay at home guy. |

I'm a Rychel fan
I'd like us to target him if we get a pick in the 20s - jdfitz77
I do like him too... I think he is in the 19-24 range... |

well if the Vanek lovers can say that he was a PPG player even though he scored 28 points in his first like 11 games and then only 17 the rest of the season then don't attack Hodgson for his numbers..
thats not fair.. - JVince11
Good point
I'm more focussed on how Hodgson clearly improved, at least offensively....
When many on the team disappointed,
He was a bright spot
And I look forward to more improvement |

Counting the one game the season before Vanek missed, it's 7 of 11 games scoreless. While it is still a small sample size it is a tad concerning.
That is why I came up with the Heatley ++ for Vanek (eating a portion of his caphit/salary) scenario.
Heatley is still capable of scoring 25-30 goals in this league. - dadeadhead
This lockout screwed everything up yet again. On the Heatley side Ill pass. Injuries have really piled up on him |

Who else in here liked Kerby Rychel? DD? NF?
https://twitter.com/Mike6...status/350402090587258881
does he work out with Weber?
- theblueandgold
I'm going to probably not be super judgmental with them at the #16 slot - unless they pick up Fucale - which to me would be neither getting the BPA or addressing an area of need. Rychel would be fine by me - esp if he already has ties to the team. |

Rolston should split Myers and Ehrhoff up, both are suitable as offensive D-men. Now that the Sabres don't have Regehr, is Weber our best stay at home guy? |

Hodgson, Ott, Weber, and Flynn
that is the list of players on the Sabres that showed up consistently all season and played with their hearts on their sleeves. |

Quinn and co added 8 mil on that deal when they opened their big mouths and said "we'll match any offer he gets". - dadeadhead
Sure, and by not signing him during the season too. Not really Vanek's fault thought.
Darcy should have been fired after/during that offseason |

It's not my 1st choice for a deal,
But I do like the idea
ESP when u pointed out Heatly could be a guy we'd move at the deadline & get a nice return
Good thinking sir |

2 in 10/11
11 in 07/08. |

Yea.. I can see that....
I have heard that Buffalo sees Pysyk as a top line guy.
I personally really like McNabb too. McNabb and Myers played together in Prep school in Canada and are fond of playing together...
Ehrhoff - Pysyk
Myers - McNabb
Weber - Sekera
Maybe Weber with Myers for the short while until McNabb is ready.
i could also see them putting Sekera with Ehrhoff. |

I really think hes going to be the Corey Perry of this draft. |

Agreed.
Perry lite as I only see him as a 30 goal guy but a guy that you hate to play against. |

I just cant see Pysyk on the top pair during his 1st full season. He did play well when he was called up. Mcnabb is an interesting case, he is definitely ready, but I don't know which pair to start him on. |

Those are games missed. He has been more banged up than Vanek. Not to mention his production has tanked. I'd rather hang on to Vanek and move him at the deadline than trade for Heatley and move him at the deadline |
