Bozak now wants 5 + per year. Too much

That's a 3.5 million raise but some dumb team will pay it...

having seen the majority of Schneider's games he's played as a Canuck due to living in Vancouver, I can confidently say if he IS available, he's so much more technically sound than Luongo and incredibly solid that I would give up Nino, Bailey and our 15th overall pick for him. Guaranteed he's going to be a massive upgrade and is a much more proven talent than say Bernier because he doesn't play in an overly defensive system like Bernier did.

Schneider to me, would be the ultimate pick up in goal for the Isles to have stability there for a long time.

Not worth it, plus I don't think Snow is looking for a C unless he came upgrade on the present roster. Believe Snow thinks highly of Nelson & Sundstrom at C

Isles need scoring W and D and G.....

Keaner...would you trade the Isles 1st and maybe Ness (or Hickey) for Schneider?
- kear20

Yep. I'd hope we'd get an extension worked out first.

schneider's got a few years left on his deal and no way vancouver gives him up for a mid round 1st and a middling prospect like ness.

They're going to want a top 9 forward who's young and inexpensive, along with a top prospect and a 1st to get the conversation started

Agreed. With three goalies in the system and a few fa's to chose from, I eouldn't go overboard on a guy 1 season from being a free agent.

2 years left at 4mil/year. Not unreasonable. I can see him signing an extension if he's brought in as a #1. Snow's done a fantastic job of holding onto the players he really wants to

Wow, I was off. He's signed for 3 more seasons. It would have to be our 1st and Nino... Not sure i want to go that far. Pass.?

Edit.. Cap geek still listing last season. Its two more.

I would, he's a very sound goaltender who not only makes the first save, he can keep his body upright and track the puck and stop rebounds as well. Luongo has a bad habit of stretching out so far after the initial shot he ends up flat on his face if the next shot isn't immediate. Schneider is, IMO, the far better goaltender in Vancouver, also only 27 and under a reasonable contract.

It's nothing against Schneider or his contract but rather no need to deal a high end prospect and our pick. Plenty of other fish in the sea.

Still a lot to give up, and this is the year w/an abundance of goalies available for a lot lesser price to give up. Schneider is good but so are others....

It seems like a waste to move on from Poulin and Nilsson. They have not been given a real shot. Bring in a solid vet to team with Poulin. Forget drafting a goalie #1 or giving up mulitple pieces for Schneider.

She is completely out of touch and if Snow did draft a goalie he'd be completely out of touch himself. Why did I read this?

Yeah, I agree. 4 would be too much and like someone already noted, we do have a lot of centers in our system. I like the idea of Elias the more I think about it.[/img]

Told this could be year Eric Nystrom comes to one of the NY-NJ locals. Plenty of interest and he'll get multi-year deal.

I'm hearing Horton wants to hopefully move to NY or LA... so his wife can start modelling again.

Her parents have sold the family home and are waiting to see where Nathan ends up to follow the kids there!!!
