Doesn't say much about SI. If Snow picks a goalie he's an idiot.

Snow gets a pass unless he doesn't do anything...Terry Collins the Mets manager gets idiot label after tonight...should be fired...4-1 leading, 2 outs in the 8th and goes to the book...lefty-lefty switch...didn't need to do that when you're winning by 3 runs...clown...

The Islanders will move their No. 15 pick for a player who can help right away. #NHLDraft #QMIAgency

On a lighter note, my boys came back to spank Sabathia, who was literally perfect through 5 innings.

Why did he take Aradasma (sp?) out...the guy is sailing along...pitching well and he goes to the "book"...my son (19 year old plays lax and football in college) not a baseball fan and I were watching the game and he says to me why did they take Ardasma out after 12 pitches...I wish they would let Bachman be the manager...Collins is bad...

The ONLY way I move this pick is if it's with prospects and/or etc. for someone who is BIG TIME, especially on the back end. Otherwise, I'll take whoever is on the board. I'm not just going to trade the pick straight up for an above average player who "might" shine on Tavares' wing. Not worth it.

Question
What would the expectations be this season for Bailey, Neilson, Okposo. (Points)
After seeing them play at the end of last year, would this year be a do or die year?

I expect them to be our third line, and shut down the other team's best forwards. If they can do that, I'd be happy with 40-50 points from each of them, but I think Okposo and Nielsen will do better than that. Okposo and Bailey just have to show up ready to go- they can't take 20 games to get their legs underneath them. The true second line scoring is going to have to wait until Nelson, Nino and Strome are ready, unless we sign a couple of guys next week...

Honestly, in my opinion, I think they should be moved. I might get backlash for this bc some are homers and like their players, but these kids haven't provided the expectations we all hoped for. Also if some think that the playoffs might have changed them, think about Penner.....

I believe some of the kids that are ready to replace them probably could do/be better then what they have done so far on the club.

Its just my opinion, now grant it, I will only trade them for something that could help/benefit the club, not for the sake of getting rid of them......but eventually I would.

I think Bailey is what he is. He has proven to be a solid defensive player, although you can teach pretty much anyone with some talent to do that. I don't think he has much trade value, to be honest. Nielsen REALLY needs to be a third line center; if that's his role, he is a valuable asset to have, IMO.

The one that scares me is Okposo- he's just one of those guys that I'm afraid we're going to trade, and he's going to end up in Pittsburgh scoring 90 points on Crosby's wing. You can see it coming with him- it's just a question of whether or not it's ever going to actually arrive. Playing a defensive role at the end of last year has seemingly taught him to work harder, and rely less on his "talent". He spends a lot less time skating around in circles like he's practicing the Chinese fire drill, and more time in the corners using his size. If that continues, then I'd be scared to get rid of him- but if he spends the off-season forgetting how to play hockey, then it may be time to move him before he gets a permanent reputation.

Multiple outlets (including Mckenzie and Dreger) now reporting the Nuks are shoping Corey Schneider. So either this is a front to try and fireup more interest in Luongo or they have no plans to buy him out. Asking price is a 1st rounder and a prospect...

That's exactly my point, if KO becomes good somewhere else, so be it and it wasn't meant to be here, Bailey I feel they have ruined bc he was rushed into the NHL instead of really being properly developed, and Frans is a 3rd line C, but the kids in the system have higher ceilings to replace these 3. Rather take my chances with the kids and maybe package these 3 to get something to help instead of watching another year of KO, Frans, Bailey not be productive or lack there of...

Tampa Bay is shopping Malone...I think he would be a great fit with Nelson and Grabner...that would be your 2nd line...don't think they are asking for much...

He would only cost a mid level prospect or a 4th or 5th rd. pick...

I wouldn't give them a prospect worth a d*mn for him, if I'm giving them the pick. I'm not THAT impressed. One was more useless than the other in last year's playoffs, as far as I'm concerned.

For that, I'd pay to see what's left in the tank. That's barely more costly than a waiver pick up.

I dunno. I still like considering Mike Smith on the UFA market but Schneider would be a nice catch. I would have preferred Lou through Free Agency but it appears the Nuks aren't interested in buying him out. I wonder if they'd take on a project like Kabanov, our 1st and Hickey.
*edit, I wouldn't mind us getting 2nd in return
