Probably. Wouldn't mind getting Luongo either for little to no assets or through buyout(preferred of course).Luongo on a two or three yr deal would be a great thing. I do feel he will have quite a few suitors if he gets bought out though...

I'd take his contract for DP and maybe a 3rd, but not a roster player, not a prospect and nothing higher than a 3rd.

If he gets bought out (my guess is almost 100% likely) then he'll get a number of offers, but his contract...is awful.

I was thinking something along those lines. Gillis saves a tiny bit of face and we get a legit starter. I'm actually scared to have this convo for what it might lure to our thread

I'm tired of having the canuck blogger ban me daily because I point out his errors.

He seems like a nice dude but maybe a little out of touch with reality? He banned you?

I've been banned twice in those comment threads, for talking hockey and correcting people without making personal attacks or calling someone a douche, yet I got banned twice. Twice for a week, although I appealed the second and they knocked it down to a day, even though I still disagreed it was even a ban at all. Some people have little itty baby feelings and can't handle a serious discussion or someone disagreeing with them.

Probably get banned for this too. Beginning to feel like Kencan but I still hate Boyes.

the only good thing about the first one is that i was too busy to post for several days anyhow lol

I know its on every thread but some of those guys were pompous, arrogant douches. up until a week ago quite a few of them thought the were getting Nino and a pick with Dp for Luongo. One of them actually turned their nose up at the idea. I had to just stay away from there. I'm shocked I didn't get banned?

it's come up in every one of those blogs for weeks now. For a while he would post daily trade offers including laughable destinations and returns for Luongo just to increase the number of hits.

Only blogger I detest on this site. I dislike most of Dee's latest blogs due to errors and lack of fact checking, but she doesn't bother me near as much as someone talking out of their ass.

In any case, I'm trying to bite my tongue. It's not easy, I don't care if someone attacks me personally in comments, but it bothers me when I see something so inaccurate it's purely bullpoop.

I know, that made zero sense and was irritating that it would be written as though the two different things were connected. Bad attempt at journalism. I'll give Dee credit though, she takes all this abuse, keeps posting and doesn't ban people for getting on her about it.

if it brings us what we need without gutting our prospect depth then I'm all for it. I just hate the idea of seeing Strome, Nelson or Nino turn into a top line forward somewhere else and think "if we'd only had a little patience"

we've gone from one extreme to another really.

Who cares about this years draft, we have enough prospects, it's not like the 15th pick will be NHL ready this year anyway. Sell away all this years picks for some quality players out there. As far as in nets, I'd take Emery and bring up one of the kids as back-up. I'd also pay a crapload for Letang, we need a quality D.

I'm good with giving up our first this year along with a marginal prospect or two, just none of the ones who look ready to make an immediate impact next year.

The return has to be something good, young and under contract.

Yeah, fine, now please name a single person here who has said "deHaan and Lee are untouchable."

at the end of the day..if I had to throw in de haan to get ryan and hiller i'd do it..but I would not be shopping him, the kid is flat out special he has the "it" factor you look for in a player...he just needs some luck and health

I'm also good in giving up the 1st and someone not named Nino, Nelson, or Strome.

You are really high on this kid. Hopefully he can stay healthy but so far that doesn't look good...

He sounds very good from the article. Still, not crazy about drafting a goalie number 1. What was the point of Poulin, Nilsson if you are drafting a goalie #1? Isles need to bring in a vet and give more time to Poulin to see if he is an NHL goalie. Isles can draft a goalie in later rounds.

Doesn't say much about SI. If Snow picks a goalie he's an idiot.

I don't mind if he move into the 20 to 25 range and picks up more draft picks... but I would rather see who falls to us @ #15 or make a trade with the pick for NHL players.

Fucale is very good!!!

But doesn't help us in the short term... we need help now!!!
