I get it bro, the truth hurts.

Fraser will be a beast next year defensively, I liked his level of play up to the injury.
Call me crazy, but seemed like the Leaf's only D man to block shots.
Has anyone ever seen Dion lay out and block a shot???

- sloppyseconds2

Phaneuf has his money and GF (Elisha Cuthbert) so why should he care anymore? Sometimes watching him out there, it seems like he just goes through the motions. I find Franson is our best defenceman right now, not Phaneuf.

pretty effectively. Letang is terrible in his own end and they don't barely trust him on the PK. He was 3rd pair PK prior to this year, and only reason he was moved to 2nd pair was because they didn't have a choice.

Letang is better than Phaneuf in several ways, but defensively isn't one of them. And yes, I realize what I'm saying.

- Big_Lightnin

Agreed. While Letang is not terrible, in his own zone, he clears many passes in front of his own net, which scares the begeezus out of most goalies and is need for concern. Offensively, top 3.

forgot to add that 3rd line part.
- jerseyleaf

Not comfortable with him on the 2nd line? The way I see him is as a fringe 2C, but I suppose if Grabo get bought out TOR would want a centre with size in the top 6. Anyways, probably not likely Leafs retain Bozak but he's a useful player for the right price.

Well, I guess that's up to Craig MacTavish, isn't it.........we'll see, won't we.

I'm pretty sure there's a stat out there you could look up to answer this.

Agreed, Kessel is starting to show signs of life developing a defensive conscience, but he doesn't have the right tools to be a dominant defensive player and maintain 40+ goals
- Johannes19

kinda like no one else in the league does either.

WTF are you talking about?

Kadri has the 2nd line center spot on lockdown. He has good chemistry with Lupul, not enough experience to play top line center and not good enough defensively to play 3rd line center.

Ignoring the random Edmonton hate (seriously what's up with that?), I kind of wish we could be connected to a player by rumor and be able to say "that'd be cool." Seems like there's always negatives to be found.

I don't know, there's always a lot to consider. Probably not a bad idea to get someone that skilled since you can always focus on adapting what you are trying to do around that.

Going to be a lot of interesting decisions for Nonis to make going forward. Gotta be a hectic right now with buyouts, trades, RFAs, UFAs, the draft, etc. In the end just about continuing to take steps forward.

Let's see when his center isn't Bozak.
- Jay Uller

So you think he'd be more effective defensively with a more offensive centre??

Well, that's true, only if you're a delusional Leaf's fan. If we polled all non-Leaf & non-Oiler fans, I can assure you the majority would happily take our roster over yours.

Nothing if they keep Grabo. If they buy out Grabo then 3.5 max and a demotion the the 3rd line where he's better suited.
- JasonDM

Can Grabo play wing? If you buy him out he'd look good on Malkin's line for $2-3M

And he's already getting hurt more and more as he gets more responsibility.

Whoever signs him will end up paying nearly 8 million over the next decade food a guy who misses 25% of the season.

your team is still mediocre.
