Yeah, but feelings change.

Doubt he would leave because Bozak isn't there. The guy is the best player on the best up and coming team in the East. He's due for a pay raise and Nonis will give him one.

That's the problem with Leaf's Nation. They're biggest accomplishment since the 1960's is making the playoffs, and Leaf's Fans seem content with that. Well, I hope you enjoyed the playoffs this year, I know I enjoyed how it ended. At the end of the day, your team is still mediocre. And everybody outside of the GTA who's not a delusional Leaf's fan will tell you that.

In regards to the Oilers making the playoffs, that's coming.........but that's not the goal. Unlike the Leafs, the Oilers will be winning cups in a couple years. The Leafs will still be "making the playoffs".......maybe.......and Leafs Nation will remain satisfied with that.

"Coming" in 2045

Edmonton would be satisfied with finishing out of the top 10 of the draft. Like that will ever happen. Sadly, most oilers fans prob wish for the return of sather

The only thing funny is the state of the Oilers franchise. A tleast the were smart to hire Dallas Eakins (from the Leafs) to turn things around
- bigd242

Yeah, we took the only good thing about your organization, and made him our head coach. Thanks!

Maybe, still, it'll be before the Leafs ever win another cup.

Phaneuf defensively is a joke. Letang>Phaneuf in every aspect, how can you even argue this?

Nothing if they keep Grabo. If they buy out Grabo then 3.5 max and a demotion the the 3rd line where he's better suited.

This is no longer a discussion. Youve passed the troll mark and went fill potato. Never go full potato.

That was a pointless comment.

Letang is better defensively then our best defenceman though.... One bad series against a team if i'm not mistaken beat us and exposed our best defenceman and now all the Leafs fans are crying not to get him... give me a break. THE GUY IS A NORRIS FINALIST.
- JasonDM

Fraser will be a beast next year defensively, I liked his level of play up to the injury.
Call me crazy, but seemed like the Leaf's only D man to block shots.
Has anyone ever seen Dion lay out and block a shot???

Agreed, Kessel is starting to show signs of life developing a defensive conscience, but he doesn't have the right tools to be a dominant defensive player and maintain 40+ goals
- Johannes19

Let's see when his center isn't Bozak.

Is this going to be happening with Smid as your best defenceman and Dubnyk as your goalie? LOL

i've seen komi block shots. too bad they weren't with his forehead, so he would've had concussions more often

pretty effectively. Letang is terrible in his own end and they barely trust him on the PK. He was 3rd pair PK prior to this year, and only reason he was moved to 2nd pair was because they didn't have a choice.

Letang is better than Phaneuf in several ways, but defensively isn't one of them. And yes, I realize what I'm saying.

Second?
I think someone is going to regret the contract he gets. Hopefully not the pens

- Genobuzz

This.

He just turned down 8 years at $7 million per year. Puck movers who put up points always get ridiculous contracts.

He can have 50+ million when he stays healthy for a season.

Kostka, Liles, HOLZER....do you honestly want to see any of these dudes again on the ice d-wise? I know I don't.
- jerseyleaf

I simple saw a false statement and pointed it out.
