That is a very good point, and worth considering for sure. Though some toughness on our top two lines would go a long way. Especially for guys like Kessel and Kadri who it would open alot more ice for. Either way, we're likely to have 3 lines with interchangeable parts.

I think Clarky would fit well with Grabbo and Kulemin, when Mac started shooting more Kulemin stopped and started working the boards and corners more. If Clarkson came in as a grinder we might see Kule putting his heavy shot on net... Clarkson scores in the paint pretty well, Just makes sense. Might get them back to their controlling style of play.

with the cap dropping and there being a rather large selection of available UFAs it's hard to imagine him getting in at any preferred destination at the rate he wants.

Getting Clarkson would be a bit of a lottery win for the Leafs too as they need that type or player. OK, not lottery win as in Crosby but you get the point.
