Well before that series they didn't really have any problems. First in the East, won 8 of their first 11 playoff games. First time try ran into trouble all year. It's not the league's best defence but good enough to win a cup with IMO. That said don't see why the Leafs would deal for him given the cost and their other needs.

Agreed he isn't a quarter back, all he should be used as is a shot, an umbrella with Dion on one side and Kessel on the other is how they should line up, progression with Gards and eventually Rielly could improve our pp without moving bodies. I would rather promote from within than give away pieces. That's how we ruined the club before

That would be killer. If Vinny is looking for the best opportunity I don't see how it's not with the Leafs... .80 ppg is better than a second line center and his wingers would be dynamite in T.O.

I would have to disagree, I really like the feel of 13, sometimes the lyrics aren't as good but it kind of reminds me of Judas Priest a bit which I really like.

but ya, i'm all for not going anywhere near letang. I don't think he solves any problems for us. and is way too pricey in terms of both assets and dollar value

If we can get Johnson without moving Dion, I would love to try what your saying. However 6.5 mil is too high a price to pay for him.

Am I the only one who thinks that those pairings are really balanced. The only risk we are taking is Gardiner on the top pairing. If we can keep Phaneuf and pair him with Johnson until Gardiner is ready and then move Dion, that would be good too.
