I would have to disagree, I really like the feel of 13, sometimes the lyrics aren't as good but it kind of reminds me of Judas Priest a bit which I really like.

Franson and Gardiner were both better than Dion in the Boston series. Dion is making 6.5 to be our leader and best player but he wasn't successful at either of those.

Id wait till next trade dealine to trade him, but try to resign him for cheaper before then. You're right, it is a concern though. Im not against trading Phaneuf, im against trading him because of the notion that he sucks or that he is holding this team back. Same with Kessel. You trade them only if you cant keep them, but you keep them if and until you can.

Maybe Gardiner wasn't as good in his zone as Dion but he certainly did a better job of getting the puck out before we got hemmed in. I thought Franson was better defensively and offensively. I'll give you the minutes argument though. Regardless I'm not saying we make Franson and Gardiner our top pairing. I'm saying we move Phaneuf for a better defensive player.

Through the season Franson went through about a month period where he was constantly giving the puck away and causing goals, everyone forgets that. But since dion has the C he can't slip. EVER!!!

Anything that keeps us from moving Gards and Rielly is a good thing. those two guys in the top 4 will be dynamic and gives us the option of putting together a true shut down pair. We are starting on a three year course that L.A. and Chi-town went through. You have to learn to win and develop as you do it. If they can get a few rounds next year you make a big splash the following off season. One playoff appearance and people have seemed to drop waiting for the team to come around

He is a number one guy, just not a good one. I'll even give the he needs another top pairing D argument some weight, yeah he would be better but he would still make the bone headed mistakes he makes. Trade him for Erik Johnson, and give Gardiner a chance up there with him.

Why not add a good defensive player and play him with Dion?

Thats like trading a Kessel to get a Toews when having a Toews and Kessel is the better way to go.

If you want to seem logical and of sound mind, then getting rid of Liles would be the better way to improve this team. Not DP. Wrong player, right arguement.

vinny for me is the best move we can make right now

if we grabbed him and didnt' do much else i'd be ok with it

i've said it before but kessel/vinny/jvr or lupul is a real first line we haven't had since roberts/sundin/mogilny
