What? Because I don't have a delusional bias of the Leafs, that means that I don't watch hockey? You're pretty smart. - Sammy Van Hagar
The Oiler fan base is much more delusional than the leafs are... your writer thinks gagner is worth gardiner +... gagner cant even tie gardiners skates |

Letang to Toronto? I guess winning means nothing to the guy ...he just wants the big pay day. |

and give it a couple seasons and you guys will keep drafting forwards and still have no d and no goaltender... Ill gladly take playoffs over that thanks - DarcyTucker16
Oh, now you're a psychic? Able to predict the future like a hockey god? You may have made the playoffs (finally) this year, but you got ousted in the first round after your team blew it. Your team is barely a playoff team, and despite what you might think, there are no guarantees that you make the playoffs next season. |

gardiner nor reilly are proven...give me the real deal any day. top 10 d-man in the league, playoff fail or not, hmm..30 teams, top 10..let me think about that one...yeah, in heartbeat for gardiner, reilly, or both, plus the 1st and kulemin likely (as much as i'd hate that part) All these can't play D arguments are coming from a small 1 year playoff sample. Calm the **** down people; players have streaks. Dude is a career PLUS FORTY-TWO. for those of you who don't recall, plus minus doesn't include pp, sh, or pk.
EDIT: OH AND WHAT'S THAT? HE'S A CAREER PLUS TWO IN THE PLAYOFFS IN 80 GAMES? 0.o....sounds like a terrible d-man to me - jerseyleaf
+2... for an offensive Dman on one of the highest scoring teams in the league...
ya, that's pretty poop bud.
Career +42 on the Pens? again, pretty poop.
For perspective of what a $7.5M dman should be able to do - Lidstrom had 4 seasons where he was +40 in 82 games or less...

Sounds like one of the angry oiler fans that knows their team is doomed to be the next Islanders as all of those 1st round picks but Eberle will be busts, and their management is equal to the Tim Hortons overnight crew |

No Leafs fan will argue that his defence needs work but its much better now then it was when he came to the Leafs in '09. He actually back checks with a purpose on a consistent basis. He needs to work on his wall play though. |

And the Leafs fans overrate Jake Gardiner quite a bit. He's a good prospect, but he's proven nothing at the NHL level to this point. I don't necessarily agree with Cloutier, but it isn't the worst trade proposal I've ever heard.......The Kessel trade would be. |

considering everyone in the blog agreed with him... seems to me in the sample size thats the fan bases general consensus yes |

With that swiss cheese defence and that joke of a #1 goalie? I'd take Bryzgalov over Dubnyk anyday. - JasonDM
LOL That proves your hockey knowledge, now doesn't it. |

No weve just actually watched him play... hes coming into his third year hes hardly a prospect anymore... is he still developing... yes... but hes already a top 3 guy on your team with miles ahead before he reaches his peak |

You haven't watched a game of your team, have you? Dubnyk I liken to Fleury. Really Hot or Really cold...but more extreme than Fleury in terms of streaky. When the team turned to Khabibulin immediately upon injury return (as drunk as he can be and at age), it was a sign of concern |

He'll go to a team that scored the same amount of goals in one playoff period that the Pens did the entire series against Boston. Oh and their won't be a dead flower in net for the Leafs either. |

Hahaha, your team makes the playoffs one time, and now your team is stellar? I think not.......Seriously, your team hasn't even made it to the cup finals since the 1960's. You can bash my team all you want, but I'd take our roster of young studs over your roster of young duds any day. Your team had one good season, but seriously, they're a mediocre team at this point. Where as the Oilers have the makings of a future cup contender, granted, they are still a couple seasons & a few trades away. |

Kessel absolutely puts the effort in and has great speed for doing just that, but I don't believe he has the physical tools to be a dominating defensive player, as I said before. |
